Anne France Muyard Matayom : M4 Academic Year: 2013 Semester:1+2 Subject Code: FR Subject: French 6 Period/ Week/ Semester Unit: U1 to U12 Course Description: The students will learn the basis of French language through various typical situations and discover civilization s topics such as politeness, geography and seasons, main symbols of the Republic, cultural events, etc. Other topics will cover preferences and hobbies, daily routine and work, describing the family, food and restaurants, sports and health, clothes and shopping, holidays and transportation. Learning Outcome: 1 Introduce themselves and talk about their family and preferences 2 Describe their daily routine and goals in the future 3 Go to the restaurant and order food 4 Go to the Doctor s and give advice 5 Plan holiday, book a hotel and take transportation 6 Go shopping and give their opinion 7 Understand family relationship and society facts Content Topics: Each topic will be covered within 15 periods 1. Anne France Muyard Matayom : M5 Academic Year: 2013 Semester:1+2 Subject Code: FR Subject: French 6 Period/ Week/ Semester Unit: U1 to U12 Course Description: The students will improve their competencies (listening / speaking / reading / writing) in the French language through various typical situations and enlarge their knowledge of French civilization by analyzing social facts and cultural events. New vocabulary and grammar will be studied. The new students book, issued in 2010, follows the Council of Europe principles based on communication skills, on tasks (learning by doing), on formative and final evaluations and on intercultural skills. They will discover and analyze authentic documents and take part in debates. The new students book, issued in 2010, follows the Council of Europe principles based on communication skills, on tasks (learning by doing), on formative and final evaluations and on intercultural skills.
