2 Part II Course Details 1. Abstract (A 150-word description about the course) This course aims to provide in integrative study of human and animal disease biology to gain knowledge by comparing disease mechanisms across species and to use this for the benefit of human and animal health. Students will have a high level of training in molecular disease pathogenesis and interpretation of lesions with characterization of animal models. From both molecular and comparative pathology aspects, student will be able to understand complex disease processes and translate these findings to human diseases. Furthermore, the course will introduce further systematic study of histopathology and cytopathology. 2. Evaluate the principles of comparative pathology study and reflect on human diseases 3. Analyze and discuss the results after the practice in laboratory and learn structure and mechanism of certain pathogenic diseases. 4. Employ adequate clinical skills and knowledge in handling dangerous pathogen sample in practical sessions.
