1 Principles of Agriculture, Construction and Auto Technology Student Objectives One Credit Suggested Time Ranges First Six Weeks PAFNR 1(E) The student will develop response plans to emergency situations. PAFNR 1(F) The student will identify employers expectations, including appropriate work habits, ethical conduct, legal responsibilities, and good citizenship skills. PAFNR 10(B) The student will use word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. PAFNR 10(C) The student will identify collaborative, groupware, and virtual meeting software. PAFNR 7(D) The student will practice written and oral communication skills and employ effective listening skills in formal and informal situations. PAFNR 7(E) The student will analyze written materials common to the agricultural industry. PAFNR 7(F) The student will demonstrate sound writing and preparation skills for oral presentations, including prepared and extemporaneous presentations. PAFNR 7(G) The student will demonstrate effective speaking skills. PAFNR 2(A) The student will plan, propose, conduct, and evaluate entrepreneurship; placement; exploratory; research, either experimental or analytical; improvement; supplementary; laboratory-based; or other identified, supervised agricultural experience as an experiential learning activity. PAFNR 2(B) The student will apply proper record-keeping skills as they relate to the supervised agricultural experience. PAFNR 2(C) The student will design and use a customized recordkeeping system for the individual supervised agricultural experience. PAFNR 2(D) The student will participate in youth leadership opportunities to create a well-rounded-experience program in agriculture. PAFNR 2(E) The student will produce a challenging approach for a local program of activities in agriculture, food, and natural resources. PAFNR 9(A) The student will develop project proposals by using business strategies which may include identifying learning objectives, describing project logistics, methodologies and background; forecasting expenses and potential income through budgeting; and planning for major projects timeline events through calendar implementation and documentation. PAFNR 9(B) The student will develop and maintain records appropriate to project type following project approval. PAFNR 9(C) The student will maintain appropriate financial records through use and management of appropriate journals, inventories, income and expense logs, financial statements and balance sheets. PAFNR 9(D) The student will conduct formative and summative reflective and financial analyses on project learning objectives and records in order to plan for the future.

PAFNR 15(C) The student will describe methods to maintain and improve safety, health, and environmental systems in agriculture, food, and natural resources. PAFNR 15(F) The student will describe the importance of safety,

PAFNR 14(A) The student will identify major areas of power, structural, and technical systems as well as their impact on world agricultural production. Incorporate as appropriate PTDL 11(A) The student will discuss safe work practices and emergency procedures. PTDL 11(B) The student will identify rules and laws designed to promote safety and health in the transportation, distribution, and logistics environments. PTDL 11(C) The student will demonstrate first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedures. PTLD 11(D) The student will demonstrate proper use of safety equipment. PAC 26(A) The student will align appropriate safety standards to ensure a safe environment. PAC 26(B) The student will practice safety rules and regulations. PAC 26(C) The student will identify safety precautions and hazards to ensure a safe environment. PAC 26(D) The student will use appropriate safety practices and equipment. PAC 26(E) The student will select, inspect, and use personal protective equipment such as respiratory protection and fall protection equipment to ensure a safe environment. PAC 26(H) The student will wear appropriate personal protective equipment. PAC 26(I) The student will employ hierarchy and workflow of the site to ensure safety. Third Six Weeks All TEKS previously introduced PAFNR 14(C) The student will create proposals that include bill of materials, budget, schedule, drawings, and technical skills developed for basic power, structural, and technical system projects or structures. PAFNR 14(D) The student will identify building materials and fasteners common to power, structural, and technical systems. PAFNR 14(E) The student will use basic tools, skills, and common building materials to construct projects or structures. PAFNR 14(F) The student will select, maintain, operate, and use tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment common to power, On going 30 Days
