1 School Improvement Plan The following principles will continue to drive our work Principle 1: Provide Strong Leadership: The principal keeps a focus on instructional improvement and student learning outcomes. Principle 2: Ensure Teachers are Effective: Professional development is aligned with identified needs based on staff evaluation and student performance. Strategic Plan Goals Academic Excellence All students will perform at or above grade level, and we will eliminate disparities among all groups of students. Partnerships We will fully engage our parents, community and staff in the education of our children. Early Learning We will focus on early assessment and intervention at the Pre-K through third grade levels to ensure early academic success. Safety All schools will create and maintain safe learning environments that promote excellent academic achievement. Principle 3: Redesign for Student Learning & Teacher Collaboration: The school has established a team structure for collaboration among all teachers with specific duties and times for instructional planning. Principle 4: Strengthen the School s Instructional Program: The school s leadership team regularly monitors and makes adjustments to continuously improve the core instructional program based on identified student needs. Principle 5: Use data to Inform Instruction: Instructional teams use student learning data to assess strengths and weaknesses of the curriculum and instructional strategies. Principle 6: Establishing a Strong School Environment: The school leadership team ensures that the school environment is safe and supportive (i.e. it addresses non-academic factors, such as social and emotional well-being). Principle 7: Provide Mechanisms for Family and Community Engagement: The school s key documents (Parent Involvement Policy), Mission Statement, Compact, Homework Guidelines, and Classroom Visit Procedures) are annual distributed and frequently communicated to

3 Improvement Goal: Early Learning We will create a 25% increase in our ECEAP enrollment of students (2016: 10) for fall of. Tacoma School District School Improvement Plan Integration of ECEAP program into our PreK-8th grade site. To collaboratively work with ECEAP staff and program to support Montessori elements of our school and acclomation of Bryant expectations and learning practices. Late starts, Team meetings, Data Analysis(Data Days), district, building, and technology professional development hours. Children's House staff (certificated and classified) will collaborate with ECEAP staff in a variety of settings, a minimum of 10 times by. ECAEP Program Administration/ ECAEP Personnel Space and partnership with ECAEP Registration of 20 students. Collaboration Administration and Staff Scheduled collaboration, communication, and reflection. Team minutes and measured growth of program. Student work cycles Staff and Students Teamed support (Para staff) to provide support to the classroom community. Data Analysis Staff Access to Data and protocols for analysis and reflection. When asked students will be able to tell you what they are working as well as the goal for the work. Staff will design and lead professional development to project enrollment trends.
