1 AP Course Syllabus Sterling Heights High School Sterling Heights High School- Room F06 Full-Year (1 Credit- Studies Elective) Teacher: Michael McLane Course Description is the systematic and scientific study of behavior and mental processes. Overall Course Objectives After completion of course, students will be able to: Identify the five domains of Identify terms and key people for each domain Explain terminology and concepts for each domain Apply domain material to practical and everyday experiences Outline major points and arguments found in each domain Justify personal arguments and point of views for topics in each domain through the analysis and comprehension of various primary sources such as scientific articles and journals Underlying Course Objectives After completion of course, students will have: A greater appreciation and interest for the necessity of psychology A better understanding and preparation for college material and course requirements A good knowledge base to take the AP National Exam Increased confidence to take college-level courses AP Course Materials 1.
