8 Highlights Platinum Recognition in the 2017 Governor s Shape Honor Roll which recognizes our school for creating a healthy school environment and a culture of wellness for staff, students, and community. In October 2017 HPES will receive our verification visit in order to become a fully accredited International Baccalaureate School Only elementary school in Fulton County to have an additional 15 minutes to school day for physical activity and brain breaks for students.

29 Our beliefs as a school and as educators: High Point s discipline philosophy places emphasis on the role of the student in accepting ownership for his/her behavior and making the choice to change inappropriate behavior. Our school belief is based on respecting self and others. The major components of our school-wide discipline plan are as follows: TWO BASIC PHILOSOPHICAL TENANTS 1. Kids are worth it. 2.
