Please communicate with your district to be sure they have sent the proper paperwork. If a participant completes a workshop without providing district approval or personal payment, the ETTC reserves the right to withhold their PD certificate until payment is received. If you did not receive a confirmation from us, you may not be registered. ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE COMPLETED ONLINE AT CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations must be received 24 hours prior to each workshop. No refunds will be given on no-shows or cancellations received fewer than 24 hours in advance. A paid registration is transferable in the event you are unable to attend. If a workshop is full, you can be put on a waitlist and notified within two days of the workshop if space becomes available. 2

5 Smartboard Workshops Workshops are conducted on Smartboard v SMART Board for Beginners 04/17/18 9:00am 1:00pm $100 A true beginner or someone who needs a refresher, this workshop is for you! Participants will learn basic board set-ups, toolbars, and how to use a variety of actions to get you started. You will search, practice, and create activities during this session. 201 SMART Board for the Elementary Classroom 03/13/18 9:00am 12:00pm Louise Ortiz This workshop is designed for those who have basic knowledge of the SMART Board but want to learn how to make engaging and interactive lessons for Elementary level students. We will explore all the cool tools available in the SMART Notebook software, web resources, mobile device integration and more! 202 SMART Board for the MS & HS Classroom 03/29/18 9:00am 12:00pm Louise Ortiz Want to get the most out of your SMART Board and keep your tech savvy students on their toes? This workshop will explore fun and interactive SMART Board activities you can use with High School students. Participants will learn about the SMART Notebook tools and strategies, web resources and mobile device integration and more! 4

6 Digital Tools for the Classroom 300 HIB/Internet Safety 03/01/18 9:00am 12:00pm Rasheda Islam What are our students doing on the internet? From phones to computers, the sites they access, the social networking sites they visit, the pictures and comments they post and more. We will take a look at the safety of these sites and how we can help our students understand the dangers and risks when using the internet. We will also discuss HIB situations as well as the lingo they use when posting and texting. 302 Assistive Technology Tools to Support Dyslexia and Reading Disabilities 03/20/18 9:00am 12:00pm Many of our students are struggling with learning disabilities and Dyslexia is one of the most common. Come see how to use web tools, the Google environment, apps, and extensions to support the learner s reading and writing skills. There are many free supports available now! 309 Flipping out! An Introduction to the Flipped Classroom for Blended Learning 05/23/18 9:00am 12:00pm You ve been hearing the buzzword for a few years now, but what is a Flipped Classroom? Join us for a morning of flipping out! Learn best practices, tips and tricks, and the easiest tools to use to flip your classroom and out your students in charge of their learning. 5

Learn how to incorporate multi-media ipad and web tools to bring writing to life. Show your students how to plan as well as add voice, text, audio, and images to their projects. 312 Setting Up Your Digital Classroom: New Adventures in Teaching 05/24/18 9:00am 12:00pm Rasheda Islam This is the generation of the digital learner! Therefore, you need a digital classroom. Solutions will be presented for managing devices such as interactive whiteboards, computers, ipads, and even mobile phones in the classroom setting! You will also learn about utilizing popular cloud-based tools your students are already using in their personal lives for creativity, collaboration, and communication. 313 S.T.E.A.M. 04/19/18 9:00am 12:00pm ETTC Team This workshop will discuss and demonstrate both digital & hands on tools to implement STEAM lessons in the classroom. Participants will explore Google apps and programs for student assignments and assessment. There will be hands-on center based activities to allow the exploration of various digital devices and manipulatives to implement STEAM based lessons. Hands-on stations will include coding & robotics, art and design lessons, science exploration and mathematical applications. 6

As a teacher, you can utilize YouTube in your classroom various ways. Come find out how to create a channel and have a safe space for you and your students to create and share educational content from many different resources. 315 Cracking the QR Code 04/23/18 9:00am 12:00pm Learn how to create and use Quick Response Codes in your classroom! They can add an exciting addition to your tried and true assignments plus open a world of ideas for your students. Many free tools are available and you will be able to start using them right away! 316 Bookshare for Beginners 05/03/18 9:00am 12:00pm Judith Fiorica In this workshop participants will learn how to determine student eligibility, register and manage students, conduct a book search and download books. They will practice how to set up reading lists, assign books to students, assist parents with individual accounts and align them to their organizational account. Participants will also learn about the various reading tools that can be used to access digital materials obtained from Bookshare. 7

This session will focus on various tools and supports for creating accessible digital handouts and worksheets. Google Classroom is an amazing tool for sharing, collaborating, and communicating with your students and colleagues. Learn how to assign work, retrieve work, add engaging materials, and conduct meaningful dialogue with your class through this FREE online platform. 604 Introduction to the Google Chrome Browser 05/14/18 9:00am 12:00pm Rasheda Islam In this workshop, the most novice of users will get an understanding of what makes the Chrome browser different from other browsers. Participants will learn how to sign into Chrome and how to customize their browser with a personalized theme. In addition, participants will understand the difference between apps and extensions and will practice searching, adding, and removing apps and extensions to customize their browser experience.
