1 Florida Agriscience Foundations Division: Program Number: Course Title: Suggested Course Hours: Course Description:, Food and Natural Resources Agriscience Foundations 1 Credit This course is designed to develop competencies in the areas of agricultural history and the global impact of agriculture; career opportunities; scientific and research concepts; biological and physical science principles; environmental principles; agriscience safety; principles of leadership; and agribusiness, employability, and human relations skills in agriscience. Laboratory-based activities are an integral part of this course. These include the safe use and application of appropriate technology, scientific testing and observation equipment. Knowledge & Skills 01.0 Methods and strategies for using Common Core State Standards for grades reading in Technical Subjects for student success in Key Ideas and Details Cite specific textual evidence to support analysis of science and technical texts, attending to the precise details of Scientific Procedures & Safety 8 explanations or descriptions.
