10 About Di James Throughout her career, Di James has been an educator, artist, social activist and virtues facilitator. She has embraced a long career in educational settings, community development, corporate cultural training and in serving her community. Di was the founding Director of the Family Action Centre at the University of Newcastle, NSW Australia, where she was a passionate Di s vision and grace coupled with insightful creative flair culminated in 2011 with a profound and remarkable venture that saw the formation of embrace virtues Pty Ltd. She is now a Director of embrace virtues where she is fulfilling her life s calling. Di holds fast to a vision that all children have access to character education through virtues. She gets to live out her great joy of working with talented and committed individuals to design gifts and resources that support this vision. Di is the mother of three grown children, the grandmother of three growing children and the long time devoted wife of her husband, Bryson. As well as a mother and grandmother, Di is regarded as an elder in various circles, where she is respected for her compassion and dignity.
