3 1. Apply for Online Tutor Requirement: CV 5-7 questions answered per subject 2. Get an answer from our Recruiter Payment for CV question application via Paypal (provide Paypal ID) 3. Team Leader review your answer. If applicable, he/she will contact you. 4. Team Leader submits and assigns you your credential. 5. You start the Trial. The Team Leader will assign you a Mission He/She will be helping you and monitoring your activity. Weekly reviews will be held. 6. If a Successful trial occurs: Payment of Trial to Tutor via Paypal ID 7. Contract + Documents Our recruiter will give you all required documents to make your tutoring job formal. 8. Team Leader welcomes you on the Team! You are now a permanent tutor!

Being a Tutor at NXTlearning Detailed job description The candidate must study these documents before answering the 5-7 questions. The candidate must study these documents before and during its Trial. The tutor must study these periodically, in order to ensure its content.

5 You must be willing to work online, anywhere anytime Your English level must be enough to read/write technical texts (questions, statements, answers, etc ) Your subject/matter knowledge must be enough. Skipping plenty of questions will revoke your ID We recommend to review content and subject textbooks before your application You must have/get a PayPal Account. This is the way we send payments Get your PayPal account ASAP, its free! Ensure you study all previous documents, specially: General Guidelines Abusive Conduct + Plagiarism

6 Prepare your 5 to 7 questions properly, following format and guidelines Extra questions are welcomed, it can increase your chances! This must be YOUR work! Do not copy/paste other tutors or internet material This will be reviwed by the Recruiter in order to se if this has the minimum requirements Team Leader(s) of the subject will review your work. If it meet the requirements, you will be invited to a Trial Please send to recruiting@nxtlearning.com Do not forget to add your CV, the questions and your PayPal ID for immediate payment!

7 The recruiter will define if your application has the minimum requirements. If it does: Wait for a Team Leader to contact you! If PayPal ID has been provided, expect immediate payment Review all documents as well, you might get asked to show knowledge If it does NOT: Please be aware of the recruiter s Try again, preferably with other set of questions Take the recruiters feedback into consideration

8 The Team Leader will define if your knowledge for the subject and technical/educational approaches fit our profile. He is in charge of continuing the process If he does: The Team Leader will contact you! An online interview (via Skype or Hangouts) could be possible as well Trial Activity will be now the following step If it does NOT: Keep an eye in the Team Leader s Feedback Repeat application

9 The Trial is nothing more but to actually start live tutoring! Your credential (login information such as username, password, ) will be submitted by the Team Leader Typically, all credentials are submitted on Wednesday evening Credential will be active until Friday Morning The Team Leader will assign you: A goal, good practices Rules, guidelines Avoid Plagiarism and Abusive conducts A deadline (initial date and final date)

10 Note that you are already tutoring students via question and answer! Errors/abuse/plagiarism are not allowed! This will let us know how you: Feel with the platform Your ability as a tutor Subject knowledge Educational Approach Technical methodologies Average time per questions answered Approximate questions answered per day/week/month Quality of your answers Skip ratio (skipping and answering ratio) Approximate CF Score

11 The Team Leader will be monitoring and reviewing your activity Try to increase questions answered and quality Quality is one of the most important aspects considered in your Trial Activity If you have any doubt, please contact your Team Leader directly Your Team Leader is here to help! But he won t be answering your doubts regarding direct questions. Do s: How should I approach this answer? How long should I answer this? Should I use this topic as well? Dont s How is this solved? Where can I find this information/graph/table? What is the definition of x?

12 The Team Leader will reivew your activityperiodically He will send you weekly reports Review your activity overall Will push you to finish your mission/goal

13 Do I get paid for the Trial? Typically, the Trial is paid $1.00 USD per question answered, independent of the subject What if I do not finish the Trial Activity on time? An extension could be considered by your team leader, otherwise, selection process will be suspended or cancelled Can I finish the Trial in a single day? YES! Even though this is not normal, some tutors have finished in a single day. Their dedication is considered! Please note that if quality is not enough, you might get a new mission assigned, or the Team Leader could directly decline your application/selection process.

14 Can I try several trials? Not likely, but this depends on the team leader only Is it possible to apply for several subjects and trials? Typically, we will assign you a SINGLE trial. We recommend you to choose the subject you feel more confident. If this Trial goes correctly, a direct invitation to other subject tutoring could be possible My direct link to questions & answers will not work, why? This is most likely because your credential has been suspended/revoked due to low quality/abuse/plagiarism or any other violation to the guidelines If I fail at the Trial, can I apply to other subject? Yes, only if you haven t: Been flagged by plagiarism Done any kind of abusive behavior/conduct in the platform

15 I didn t like the platform/trial. What should I do? You are here because we look for quality tutors, but we can force you to work in a place you are not willing to; therefore, we recommend you to contact your Team Leader and suspenc/cancell your application Subject knowledge requirements are too high than those shown in the questions/templates. Why? Note that this platform is live students all around the world of all levels ( basic, intermediate, highschool, university, masters, PhD) use it. The questions will vary with time to time. Some seasons might get harder than others, for instance final exams are always harder than the first weeks of class. Please consider your Team Leader, he will guide you with the subject knowledge requirements, specially in advanced subjects.

16 Is it possible to suspend/pause my selection process? Yes, depends on the the work load (season) but your can ask your team leader for a pause. This must be stated BEFORE any warning on your lack of activity. Please ensure to communicate any kind of personal situations I m taking too long to answer. What should I do? This is normal, new tutors are getting used to the content/material as well as the platform. Average answer time for new tutors is about minutes per answer. As time passes by, tutors get more comfortable with the platform. They typically lower their answer time to 15 minutes or even lower.

17 I m not getting questions. I get a No more questions on queue. What should I do? This is normal, specially in low peak seasons/holidays/vacations. Expect this between mid December end January. mid May mid September Refresh and reload the site periodically, questions will eventually appear

18 What are some tips in order to maximize my chances to get a possitive review? Ensure questions answered are within the deadline Please note that Quality is a MUST, not optional. Ensure it is the best of quality on your answers Have a direct/constant communication flow between you and your team leader Do NOT ignore feedback and communication

19 Once you complete your mission: A team leader will review your final activity Quality and Quantity are both considered Plagiarism and Abusive Conduct will NOT be allowed Expect a final verdict from the Team Leader If negative either try again or your case will be cancelled If positive expect Service Contract Your rate/payment per question will be updated Bonuses will be included

20 All payments are done in US dollars All payments are done via PayPal There are several rates and fees which must be considered. Payment is done for any complete 5-7 question + CV application (immediate) Payment is done only for successful Trial Application (immediate) Payments are done 25 days after the end of month to regular tutors. Payments for priority tutors will vary depending on season/subject, but are done typically in days after the previous activity month.

If 10 questions were submitted, this increases your chances, but please note that only 7 USD will be paid Trial for Online Tutor Live tutoring on the platform Goal is set typically by the team leader of each subjects. Varies from questions. Payment is 1 USD per question answered. This is the Trial Rate. Payment will be adjusted
