We will emphasize the theory and applications concerning demand, production and economics of transport systems and will cover topics such as pricing, regulation and the economic evaluation of transportation services and projects. Objectives: Knowledge of the key factors underlying the role of transport economics and pricing mechanism in the performance of transport systems Understanding the scope of pricing mechanism and regulation in the transport markets Mastering the key techniques for economic evaluation of projects Understanding the scope and master the skills for the assessment of major transport projects Understand the socio economic impacts of infrastructure investments Prerequisites: The students should have knowledge on basic microeconomics.
