So, students today we will discuss about Mahatma Gandhi whose fame will remain eternal (Pupil-teacher will show the chart of Mahatma Gandhi) Mahatma Gandhi was one of the greatest leaders of India. He was the servant of mankind. That s why countrymen call him Bapuji because he was the father of the nation. His full name was Mohan Dass Karam Chand Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi was born 2 nd October, 1869 at Porbander(Gujarat).his father was a Diwan of Rajkot. He received his education from India and England. He became a barrister in He started his practice at Bombay. An Indian firm called him to South Africa for legal advice. There he faught for the rights of Indians. In 1914, he came back to India to against the British rule. He waged various struggles like the non-cooperation Quit India movement as a result of which India became free on 15 th august Gandhi ji believed in truth and nonviolence. He was against the caste system. He worked for the upliftment of Harijans. (upliftment-betterment, Harijans-Low-caste people). On January 30 th,1948 he was shot dead by Nathu Ram Godse. Who is known as the father of the nation? Pt. Jawahar lal Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh etc. Students Listening carefully. Students will note important points in their note-books. OBJECTIVES OF THE LESSON: To acquaint the students with the 1 st half of the lesson along with exposition of new words. E.B.O. S :( EXPECTED BEHAVIOURAL OBJECTIVES) 1) The learner will be able to recall the meaning of new words like Potion, Ingredient, Accustomed, Seek.(Knowledge). 2) The learner will be able to see relationship between Yunok and Tiger. (Understanding). 4) The learner will be able to recall the meaning of whole lesson (Knowledge) TEACHING AIDS: Usual classroom apparatus such as: B.B., rolling board, chalk sticks, duster, pointer. PROCESS

8 MOTIVATION: In order to motivate the students pupil teacher will ask the following questions to the students. Q.1. What is the name of our National animal? Ans. Tiger Q.2. What do you mean by whisker? Ans. These are long, stiff hair present near the mouth of tiger. Q.3. Name the animals which have whisker? Ans. No response ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE TOPIC:- After properly motivating the students, the pupil-teacher will announce his day s topic by saying, so students our day s topic is THE TIGER S WHISKER PRESENTATION :- Pupil teacher will teach the lesson with appropriate aids and cooperation and participation of the students. PUPIL TEACHER S ACTIVITY PUPIL S ACTIVITY BLACK- BOARD SUMMARY Pupil teacher will ask the students to open THE TIGER S their text book at Page No-2 from their text WHISKER book. Model reading by the Pupil teacher:- Pupil Student will listen Teacher will read out the story in a model Carefully. Way. She will pay full attention to proper Pronunciation, pausing and all other grammati -cal rule while reading the story. A young man did not come.
