Course Description: Introduction to Microsoft Office 2010 including hands-on experience and the use of software packages for business analysis. Course Objective(s): This course covers Microsoft Office 2010 products (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint). Using Canvas - A second objective is to ensure competency in electronic course distribution and access software. We will use Canvas for general course communications and for the career based assignments. Students are responsible for monitoring this site on a regular basis. Career-Based Assignments are listed in Canvas, please pay special attention to the format for uploading, they vary and include pdf, doc or ppt. Multiple Choice Exams are administered through myyi ittlab, there are 25 questions to answer in 40 minutes. There is one exam for each of the concepts (word, excel, access and powerpoint). Each exam can be taken three times. Each chapter has an end of chapter quiz you may take an unlimited number of times for practice and no credit. Course Policies: You must take an exam/submit work by the Due Date given below. No Exceptions. The best policy is to work ahead. Unfortunately no credit is given for completing training, homework projects or end of chapter tests although they will help you immensely.. Additional notes and announcements will be posted on Canvas, please check frequently. Any questions will be happily answered through or Discussion Board in Canvas. Drop Date: The last day to drop without academic penalty is June 8th

Students are allowed and encouraged to work together and assist one another in a general way. HOWEVER, each student will be graded on tests taken with their own efforts. Any copying of files or other electronic exchange will be considered cheating and fall under the academic dishonesty policy. Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills each module consists of four units that are step by step tutorial in nature. However there are more tasks which will be tested on included in the textbook, therefore students need to read the text and take the online modules. Information Technology Skills- This is an immersive technology course that requires approximately 48 hours of computer time in Microsoft Office and Blackboard to complete successfully.
