New technologies, evolving patient demands, cost pressures and the continued search for skilled staff pose a very complex environment. The work is no longer carried out in the silo of a specific discipline or a specific team. Rather, the conditions lead to an adaptive environment with changing teams, different skill sets, backgrounds and educations. Given all the challenges of the sector, it needs leaders that can encourage and inspire their teams to work on continuous improvement of quality, patient comfort and patient safety, while maintaining an open and positive work environment. Management and leadership training is somewhat missing in the current university education. Therefore, young doctors are not prepared for these tasks. The competitive world of medical healthcare needs leaders who have extensive experience in business skills and people skills. It provides management and administrative services, not only in science and research, but also in education and training, specifically pertaining to the field of modern cardiac medicine. It focuses on the development and transfer of new therapeutic methods & technologies in cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology and electrophysiology with close and unrestricted cooperation of industrial partners.
