Visit to Post Office The best way of learning about anything is by doing A Post-office visit was organized for the students of class I wherein the students were taken to the Local Post office and were informed about the working and how posting letters to their closed ones can act as a mode of communication. The students through this activity were made aware about the services they've to make their lives much easier and better. The students also saw stamps and different post-cards. As an educative and fun filled trip, it left a lasting impression on the young minds.

Cleanliness Drive Cleanliness is a state of Purity, Clarity and Precision "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan" - a campaign started by government of India to keep the streets, roads and infrastructure of our country clean. Initiating for the same, Students of RDPS took an awareness drive on cleanliness in Sonepat on the occasion of 'Gandhi Jayanti' on 2 October,2017 wherein the students spread awareness to keep our surroundings clean and the ill effects of unimproved sanitation moving towards a healthy society.

3 3. Managing Emotions Our emotions have a profound impact on our behavior both in and out of place where we study or work every day. Focusing on the need to develop the sense of managing emotions especially in teenage. A workshop on "Managing Emotions" was held for the students of class IX & X conducted by Dr. Manjushree Palit and Ms. SuruchiMakkar from O.P Jindal Global University. The resource persons provided the students with the understanding of what emotional intelligence is and what are areas of concern and how to deal with it. This gave an insight to the students how to tackle the issues and face them in this age group.

4 4. World Maths Day "Mathematics is all around us, in everything we do." Providing our students with the importance of mathematics and how mathematics can be made easier- On this "World Maths day", a special morning assembly held in school in which 'How mathematics can be interesting' a talk was delivered by Ms. Vandana (HOD- Mathematics) because it is a tendency to think that mathematics is a difficult subject, the objective for the special morning assembly was to make the students comfortable with the subject.

5 5. Teaching Methodologies "A good portion of academician's life and work is teaching." In order to make our teachers adopt the efficient and effective learning methods, a workshop on "Teaching Methodologies" organized in association with 'Pearson Education' wherein the resource person shared various techniques of teaching and learning, establishing learning outcomes, integrated course planning, active learning during lectures,student motivation and engagement etc. Teachers learnt to put them all together for a better teaching method that can help students to learn better.

6 6. Diwali "Diwali- The festival of lights" On this day- Joy, happiness, celebration is witnessed in our homes as well as in the markets. Promoting the need to celebrate this Diwali with a different perspective, a special morning assembly was organized to brief the students to have a pollution-free Diwali by not burning crackers and to celebrate only by decorating their homes with lights and making Rangoli. The students also responded well by taking the pledge not to hinder the environment.

7 7. TERI Green Olympiad "Education must inspire the belief that each of us has both the power and the responsibility to effect positive change on a global scale." The TERI Green olympiad conducted by The Energy and Resource Institute which attracts participation from school students across India and abroad offers an excellent opportunity for the students to test their environmental quotient. RDPS feels immense pleasure to announce that more than 100 students from classes IV-X have participated in the olympiad held in the school. With a combination of direct environment knowledge and focus on improving understanding of contemporary issues, the examination is an appropriate test to scale up environment quotient of students.

8 8. Immersion Program Immersion Programmes offers broad based benefits and outcomes for the students keen to embark on this international adventure. Appreciating the opportunity to discover more about the cultures and traditions of one another's native places, Students from Obermenzinger Gymnasium, Munich along with their teachers Mr. Markus Lehermeier and Ms. Kerstin Lehermeier welcomed to the campus by students of RDPS. They were cordially taken for the school round where different areas of the school were introduced to them. They visited classrooms as well and for further interaction, a conference held among the guests' students and students of RDPS. The visit ended on a good note with a group photograph with the German delegates.

Annual Function SANSKRITI "If you think positively, sound becomes music, movement becomes dance, smile becomes laughter, mind becomes meditation, and life becomes a celebration" Rukmini Devi Public School, Sonepat celebrated its Annual Day "SANSKRITI", for the junior school on Sunday October embraced great joy, enthusiasm and vigour, disclosing the admirable culture and traditions of India, in their sensational performances such as "Skit- Ramayana", 'Rajasthani Dance', 'Gujarati Dance', 'Group Songs' etc. The celebration being full of art, music, dance, and drama gave an exposure to the students providing them with the opportunity to explore their abilities.

10 10. S.ST Exhibition Exhibition is all about demonstrating the experiments consisting of inner talent, imagination, productive ideas and applied knowledge. A social science exhibition " A Maze: to the Natural World " was organized in RDPS. The Exhibition showcased various projects and models prepared by the students as a part of their project-based learning methodology. The students displayed a wide array of models based on topics such as the solar system, rivers, plateaus, natural vegetation, islands, continents and the States of India. It was indeed, a great deal of enthusiasm shown by the students as everybody appreciated the hands on approach to the learning aspect.
