3 : Projects This week, you will plan a class trip to Pepper Park, an imaginary theme park filled with roller coasters. Day Learn About The Location. Look at the table. Find the roller coaster that is the tallest. Circle it. How could you use this information to plan your trip? Roller Coaster Height in Feet Emerald Peak 0 Green Streak Twister 0 Little Dipper 0 Grizzly Run 0 Whirly Bird 0 Avalanche 0 Big Dipper 0 Scream Stream. Choose one roller coaster. Use strips of graph paper to show its height. Each stands for foot. Label the highest point. Project OSH
4 Projects Day Plan Your Time You have to wait in line to ride the roller coasters at Pepper Park. There are signs that tell you how long each ride takes. Color the schedule to show how much time you will spend at each ride. You may not have time for each ride. Use a different color for each ride. 5 Day Create a Budget Wise trip-planners find out how much a trip will cost ahead of time. This is called budgeting. Write your answers on a separate piece of paper. Getting There. The class will rent vans to get to the park. Each van can seat students. There are students in your class. Draw a picture to show how many vans will need to be rented.. It costs $0 to rent a van for one day. Make a table to show how much the vans will cost altogether. Tickets. Tickets to the park cost $ for an entire class. How much money should each student pay? Use and a by grid to solve. Show your work. Lunch. Each student can eat one-fourth of a pizza. How many pizzas should the teacher order in all? Draw a picture to solve. Then find the cost..
