5 Examination Successes!! (Just the beginning) 68% of the year group, 143 students have already achieved a Level 2 pass on the ECDL qualification. (IT skills) 70.6%, 101 of you achieved either a Dist. or Dist.* (A or A*) On paper you are a brighter year group than last year, and they achieved some pretty amazing results!!

6 What does the current picture look like? Attainment: Girls are outperforming the boys by 13%, 53 girls compared with 33 boys are working well enough to get a Good Pass Grade 5 at GCSE in English and Maths. = 40% (2017=52%) based on Yr 10 EOY. So another 38 of you are not there yet, especially the boys!!! Progress: Again Girls outperforming the boys, by as much as three quarters of a grade. Projected Progress 8= 0.36 (2017=0.46) Every pupil needs to improve in all of their 10 counting subjects by at least one grade. This won t happen, unless you make it happen. Believe in yourselves and believe in your ability! Start now

7 Attendance In across the whole year, the year 10 cohort had the worst attendance with 95.2% of every year group.(school average was 96.0%) So far this year, the Year 11 cohort is currently on 96.3% with the 3 rd best..or is that the 3 rd worst? (Last week 94.2%) But, currently better than you did last year!!! This Year 11 attendance improvement must be sustained if you are going to reach the success you desire.

8 The Mocks Round 1 9 th - 16 th November [ART 20 th - 23 rd ] The results you receive from these exams will be the ones you will take to your College interviews. Attend the extra sessions on offer and be prepared as best as you can be. Treat these like the real thing!
