1 Page: 1 of 8 CPD Portal User Guide Now that you have become a BRE Academy member, you will benefit from the brand new Membership and CPD portal section of the BRE Academy website. Here, you can review your membership and associated CPD requirements. You can also log relevant CPD, in line with the CPD Guidance Note (PN300), on this section of the website. This is in addition to the existing features of the BRE Academy course delegate area. To show you what it is all about, this user guide is designed to talk you through the whole delegate and membership area in detail. 1. Delegate Area Overview As a BRE Academy course delegate and member, you will be able to log-on to your personal delegate area using the same username ( address) and password created when booking onto an event or training course on the main bre website ( Please note: as the Delegate Area uses your address, changing your address may result in your automatic membership discounts not registering. If you change your address, please contact the BRE Academy team as soon as possible so that we can amend our system details. This area is found on the side bar beneath Membership :

3 Page: 3 of 8 Once logged in, as a member, you will see the following page (please note: Membership and CPD portal is only visible to those with an active membership). 2. Training history In the training history area, you will be able to access details of the training courses you have attended with us; (see the example below).

4 Page: 4 of 8 Here, you can view your attendance certificate by clicking on the relevant PDF icon under Attendance Certificate for the course. You can also click to view the course which takes you to a page showing full details of the course, including payment details. Exam details, if relevant to your course, are also displayed here. 3. Notification History The notification history area is useful for you as a member, as it shows when you have been sent formal communications from the BRE Academy team and you can also access these messages again. An example of this is shown below. 4. Membership and CPD The Membership and CPD portal is only accessible to BRE Academy members. This is where you can view your subscription details and associated CPD requirements. It is also where you must log your CPD hours in order to maintain and qualify for membership renewal, in line with the BRE Academy CPD Guidance Note (PN300).

5 Page: 5 of To view your CPD activities & breakdown To view logged CPD, you must click on View CPD for your current membership. This will show your logged CPD and a breakdown of the activities you have completed. A pie chart will illustrate how close you are to meeting the CPD requirement to apply for your membership renewal. CPD activity logged for previous membership years will also remain on the site as a read only version for your records.

6 Page: 6 of 8 To log CPD you must view CPD, click the Log CPD button which will then direct you to this form:

7 Page: 7 of 8 Here you can add details of the CPD activities, (including any BRE Academy courses completed). CPD hours will be listed on your BRE Academy attendance certificate. Evidence is required for all activities undertaken; (see the CPD Guidance Note (PN300) for full details of accepted evidence for CPD activity submission) Reflective Statement One of the requirements for you as a member is to complete an annual reflective note of approximately 200 words, reviewing the CPD activities you have undertaken over the past year. This must be submitted as a CPD record in the same form on the portal, with the reference as detailed below: Title: CPD Category: CPD Activity: please specify: Reflective note Private study Other Reflective note

This should be relevant to your membership type Date reflective statement completed (Please note: this number must be entered as the reflective note does not count towards CPD hours) A copy of your reflective statement in word document or PDF format Your submitted CPD will be available to the BRE Academy team for auditing and checking purposes, once you have uploaded here.
