Why You Should Attend This workshop will provide you with an introduction, review, and update on 2015 NFPA 70E-based arc flash standards and requirements. You will gain valuable knowledge and awareness of the hazards of arc flash, how to prevent them, and how to protect against them. 6 Meet Your Instructors Jeff Blessinger, is the Lean Six Sigma Program Manager for Zeis Textiles Extension Education for Economic Development at NC State University. He has been involved with quality initiatives and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) for 19 years in various industries and has been teaching LSS for nearly 18 years in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Europe, India, and China. Before joining NC State in 2016 as the LSS program manager, Jeff served three years as the Lean manager at Parkview Hospital in NE Indiana. He has spent over 25 years working for various manufacturing companies including Dana Corporation, Eaton Corporation, Metal Technologies, Micropulse, and Superior Essex Wire. Jeff graduated from Purdue University with a BS in Computer Integrated Manufacturing and achieved his Black Belt certification through American Society for Quality and his Master Black Belt certification from NC State. Professor Bobby Rauf is the President, Chief Consultant and a Senior Instructor at Sem-Train, LLC. He brings to this program more than 25 years of hands-on experience in a broad spectrum of areas within large industrial plant engineering and plant maintenance departments, including electrical, controls, energy, and mechanical projects. Professor Rauf has served as Adjunct Professor at Gardner-Webb University since 1989, where he has instructed classes in both the B.A. and M.B.A. programs. His last full-time engineering employment in the corporate world was at PPG Industries, Inc. where he served as a Senior Staff Engineer. He is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of North Carolina, a Certified Energy Manager, a certified ergonomist, and a member of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE). He is a published author of multiple engineering and energy books, as well as professional development courses, and holds a patent in process controls technology. Professor Rauf was inducted as Legend in Energy by Association of Energy Engineers in What Others Have Said about These Courses Even though I am not an engineer, I am really glad that I took this.
