4 The BiLD (Biblical Institute of Leadership Development) Training Center is a ministry of Fellowship Bible Church of Northwest Arkansas. The Training Center is the tangible expression of one of the three guiding metaphors that best describe the mission and vision of Fellowship; namely, that Fellowship is a "greenhouse," a "training center," and a "launching pad." The necessary link between the greenhouse and launching pad is the BiLD Training Center where people are prepared and equipped for leadership in life and ministry. Baseline is one of five areas of focus for BiLD Fellowship Bible Church Northwest Arkansas BiLD Training Center Scriptures taken from NIV unless otherwise noted THE HOLY BIBLE, NEW INTERNATIONAL VERSION, NIV Copyright 1973, 1978, 1984, 2011 by Biblica, Inc. 9 LEADER PROFILE Intro Producing and releasing spiritual leaders is a fluid and dynamic process. At Fellowship NWA we define a spiritual leader as a maturing disciple with a Kingdom focus. DISCIPLE: a person who knows and expresses the authentic Christ to his/her world MATURING: growing, developing, advancing KINGDOM FOCUS: clarity as to the active, dynamic exercise of God s redeeming rule over all DISCIPLE MATURING DISCIPLE KINGDOM MATURITY God matures us over the course of our lives as we follow Him. Spiritual leadership is a lifetime of God lessons. As lifelong learners it is helpful to develop tools that equip us to assess the past, examine the present, and anticipate the future. Appendix A See R3 Discipler s Wheel for spiritual growth and discipleship resources. Lab Coach SHARE: Your Leadership Profile and how it has changed after going through Leadership Lab and other Baseline experiences. ASK: What area of your profile do you want to improve and why? How will you do this? Coaches Note: This is not just a ministry focus but where you are. We are not trying to build Fellowship s kingdom but God s Kingdom, keeping Christ exalted. We do this in a team context (mentoring other churches) with a how can we help? attitude. Lab Coach SHARE: Some lifetime lessons you have learned. ASK: What are some of your lifetime lessons? LEADERSHIPLAB 9
