3 Due to the large amount of content in each syllabus, Leaving Cert students are advised to draw up a plan in each subject. This will manage their time more efficiently and alleviate a lot of stress, making time for one self away from the books. Here is one suggestion on how to put this plan into action. Step 1: In conjunction with your teachers, syllabus, books and exam papers write out everything you need to know in each of your seven subjects. Make sure you write it out in DETAIL, see attached pages Step 2: Focus on one subject at a time The year has been divided into 22 weeks. Therefore divide your content of each subject into 22 equal parts Step 3: Fill out the 4 Quadrants o 1 st Quadrant 7 pieces of content o 2 nd Quadrant 5 pieces of content o 3 rd Quadrant 4 pieces of content o 4 th Quadrant 6 pieces of content

20 6th Year Study Plan My Study Plan for each night of the Week

21 Step 1- Fill out Block Study Timetable Subjects I will concentrate on studying each day of the week Firstly fill in Training, Grinds, work commitments etc into timetable Allocate 2 subject per night, Mon to Thurs Take Friday night off for studying Study 3 subjects on Saturday and 4 subjects on Sunday or vice versa Keep to this plan for the term ahead Block Study Timetable: Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday

22 Step 2- Make a plan at the beginning of each night with the work in your Cinn Lae Step 1: Plan each day just before you start your Homework / Study Step 2: Write in Dinner, Exercise, Breaks, and Grinds etc. first (all of these are VERY Important) Step 3: Fill out rest of work next; it must include H/w and Study Step 4: During your Block Study periods work through the Detailed Subject Plan 1. Start with Subject you like Do the H/W then study that Subject for 10 mins 2. Subject you don t really like H/W then study that subject for 10 mins 3. BLOCK Study 1 (see above ) for 30 mins 4. Break 5. Subject you like H/W then study that Subject for 10 mins 6. Subject you don t really like H/W then study that subject for 10 mins 7. BLOCK Study 2 (see above ) for 30 mins 8. Break 9. Continue with Subject you like H/W then study that Subject for 10 mins 10. Subject you don t really like H/W then study that subject for 10 mins At the end of each day you will feel BRILLIANT for all the homework and study that you have included each day
