5 PREPARATION CHECK LISTS FACILITATOR DURING THE WEEKS/DAYS PRIOR TO THE CLASS When the class is scheduled in Crnerstne, set up the Skype meeting and lad the PwerPint presentatins and files that yu will share with participants. Set up all pll questins, and anything else that needs t be set up in advance. Cntact the Senir Leader. Be sure t discuss with the senir leader the tpic f the cnversatin they will be asked t speak abut and the timeline. Sr. Leader will discuss hw being able t present well has helped them becme a better r mre dynamic leader. They will als share what they cnsider t be elements f an effective executive presentatin. Make sure they knw that they will need t have their webcam turned n. (This is a Skype call. If they d nt knw hw t turn n their webcam, be sure t g ver it with them during the meeting.) 9 WHY PRESENTATIONS MATTER (8 minutes) SLIDE FACILITATOR NOTES PRODUCER Slide 4: BEST/ WORST Whitebard PPT WHITEBOARD+POINTER+TEXT TOOL Say: In this path, when we re talking abut presentatin skills, what we mean is the varius skills needed t deliver clear, cnvincing, and cnfident presentatins t an audience. Ask: Cnsider the best and wrst presentatins yu have seen. Using the virtual whitebard, share in the BEST and the WORST clumns: What was it that made the best presentatin the best? What made the wrst presentatin, the wrst? Give a few mments fr participants t add their thughts, then summarize, adding that there can be a wide variety f things that can make a fantastic presentatin likewise, many things that can make a presentatin fall flat. These can include the delivery: hw credible, cnfident, r engaging a speaker is, the cntent: is it structured well? Are slides r the speaker visually appealing r interesting? Is the tpic engaging t the audience? And mre! The gal here is t validate, nt give an exhaustive list. Yu ll als attend an in-persn Executive Presentatin Skills wrkshp and T-Talk Day event. This experience will help accelerate yur learning and prepare yu fr the majr wrk f this path: practice creating and delivering great presentatins. Let s talk abut the presentatins yu ll be wrking n. T-Virtual Presentatin. This will be a virtually delivered business-relevant presentatin delivered t yur team and sme chrt members. 3. Extend It! Presentatin. This is a mre visible presentatin delivered t a higher-prfile, larger, r external audience. Yu ll give this after the path has ended. Slide 9: T-Talk Guidelines Say: Fr yur T-Talk, there aren t many required guidelines beynd trying t apply the elements f effective presentatins yu ll learn during the path.
