2 Guided Tour: Overview of the CCITL system Every classroom teacher can use this [site] in some manner. ne Get help in four unique areas that provide what you need to solve instructional problems This is the best [site], easiest to use, practical, and relevant to Kentucky teachers... who is this system for? This system was designed especially for and by Kentucky educators to meet the needs of teachers, administrators, technology coordinators, and other instructional personnel. Free access is limited to personnel in Kentucky school systems. what is this system about? Need proven instructional strategies to use in the classroom? This web-based system helps Kentucky instructional providers locate and implement strategies for students experiencing learning challenges. The CCITL web system gives teachers quick and easy access to numerous classroom interventions and instructional strategies that help students learn and teachers teach. 1 Want one-to-one assistance? The ADVISORS area provides individualized assistance. Submit a request. Your request initiates a conversation with an advisor who has experience related to your specific situation. Continue the confidential dialog until you are both satisfied that the suggestions are working. 2 Need a learning strategy? Browse or search the STRATEGY CENTER to select and implement evidence-based techniques and programs in content areas such as reading, writing, and mathematics as well as study skills and behavioral interventions. Each strategy includes step-by-step instructions to make implementation easy. Links to addditional resources provide all you need to know to get going quickly with a practical solution. Want literature sources? Browse or search the LIBRARY for a wide-range of publications (articles, books, technical reports, web sites, etc.) related to CCITL learning strategies. Sources you locate are directly linked to related strategies with step-by-step instructions. 4 Need to find an online resource? Browse or search the LEARNING LAB for resources to enhance and facilitate learning using technology. This area includes: hardware resources and help, online learning activities, web page development, content area resources related to the Kentucky Program of Studies, templates/forms, worksheets, rubric generators, educational portals, and software tutorials. 3 Guided Tour: Advisors advisors The Advisors component of the system is designed to provide instructional providers with access to individualized advice from highly qualified online advisors about the selection and implementation of strategies and commercial programs related to their unique situation. 1 Entry Page Select from three options on this page. You can Make a Request to ask for help on a given issue, or you can access the Advisee Handbook to get help on using this area. The third option Tracking Cases allows you to follow the progress of your case from requesting help from an advisor, to the communications that follow, to the successful resolution of your request. 2 Advisor Request Form If you make a request, you have three different options for giving more specific information about your situation. You can fill out an individual, group, or class request form. Discussion Area for Advisory Case In this area, you can review your request and view the entire history of your case from submission to closure. 4 Guided Tour: Strategy Center strategy center The Strategy Center component of the system is designed to provide instructional providers with information on specific evidence-based strategies and commercial programs that can be used to address deficiencies in a variety of skill areas (e.g., reading, mathematics, writing, study skills, behavior management). 1 Browse or Search Browse ALL strategies or select a particular content area to narrow your options. Restrict your options even further by selecting an instructional level, skill and/or specific source type. Or use the search field in the upper right corner to initiate a key word search. Sort your results by Title, Date, ID# or Grade. 2 Manage the Information Did you find the strategy useful? Rate It. Want easy access to an individualized list of strategies? Save It for Later. Want to pass this information on to a colleague? a Friend. Couldn t access the information? Report Broken Link. All of this can be accessed from within this area. View Record and Related Items View a complete record with step-by-step instructions for using the strategy. Restrict your options even further by selecting an instructional level, skill and/or specific source type. Or use the search field in the upper right corner to initiate a key word search. Sort your results by Title, Date, ID# or Grade. 2 Manage the Information Did you find the document useful? Rate It. Want easy access to an individualized list of publications? Save It for Later. Restrict your options even further by selecting an instructional level and/or sub-topic. Or use the search field in upper right corner to initiate a key word search.
