Click on the RESULTS tab and choose Meet #1 Results (or click here) for a review of the first Challenge Test, tables with the top ten teams in each division, and listings of all participants who earned a perfect score of 20. You can also access the reports by logging into your Dashboard and selecting View Reports. Be sure to select Meet #1 before choosing a report to view. You can pull up details on the scores submitted for your own teams by selecting My Teams and Students. What Works in Your Classroom? 2 Congratulations to all our top finishers, as well as to all the participants who achieved a personal best! If your team placed in the top ten nationally and/or your team had one or more students who earned a perfect score on the first meet, you can expect to receive a Press Release in DRAFT form by the end of next week. The press release is ed to you as a Word document that can be easily modified to fit your needs. If your team did not place nationally and you did not have any students with perfect scores, you can still use our Press Release Template (click here or find it the "Teacher Tools" section under the RESOURCES tab) as a basis for your own article. Remember, we'd love to see a copy of anything you publish celebrating your WordMasters champs! While you are logged into your Dashboard, be sure to download the Meet #2 words if you haven t done so already. Just click on Download Materials and you will see the link for the Meet #2 word lists. Note the dates for the Meet #2 Challenge and score submission deadline below. While we understand that many schools have a break scheduled during February, the Challenge Schedule is designed to give you the flexibility to administer the Challenge to your teams either before or after your winter break. Please plan accordingly, as we must stringently enforce the February 28 th score reporting deadline in order to get Meet #3 completed before the school year ends (remember, many of our schools get out before Memorial Day). 3 our Team Leaders at the NAGC (National Association for Gifted Children) conference in our hometown of Indianapolis. Below you will see some of the ideas and resources we learned about from our customers. We are planning to exhibit again at the November 2014 NAGC conference in Baltimore hope to meet many more of you there! Visuwords A WordMasters Team Leader shared with us a website her students use to learn and understand their word lists for each meet. Visuwords is an online graphical dictionary that uses a visualization tool to display word definitions and diagram how words are related. If you have a fun idea to share, send us an . Marie's Words While exhibiting at a conference this fall, we met the family behind the vocabulary flashcard product, Marie's Words. Marie was applying to colleges and wanted to improve her SAT scores. Being a visual learner, she was struggling to memorize vocabulary words. So she created her own version of flashcards which allowed her to "picture words--in a flash! ", and the idea was born.
