3 ABOUT OLS CORPORATE & COMMUNITY WELLNESS The YMCA OF ORANGE COUNTY and OLS Outreach are offering a series of Wellness Workshops, and Events at no additional fee to local organizations and companies within Orange County. These Life enhancing programs have been designed to give individuals a solid foundation of the necessary building blocks of Optimal Health, along with some simple, easy and basic steps that they can use immediately to achieve significant improvement and increased energy. Each workshop addresses both the motivational aspect and the focus needed to make the necessary changes that enable attendees to better meet today s challenges and tomorrows possibilities. Each workshop is independent and can be delivered as either a full 50 minute presentation or in a more brief 20 minute power session, which can be used to instantly change the states of each attendee, or increase their energy prior to or in the midst of a vital meeting or conference. These mini presentations and workshops are presented at your facility, and can be just the thing to help change or enhance the Culture of your organization. ABUNDANT ENERGY ALL THE TIME (PART 1) This workshop takes a very direct and easily applicable approach to the first 4 of 8 essentials of optimal health and abundant energy. In this presentation attendees will learn how to dramatically increase their energy while also decreasing their stress levels at the very same time. STRETCH FOR HEALTH This workshop is all about learning how to stretch simply and easily while understanding the reasons why it is vital for sustaining both comfort and elasticity. This workshop focuses on simple SELF-DIRECTED stretches that will have a profound impact on releasing muscle tension while maintaining the body s natural flexibility and vitality. Stretch For Health is a highly effective, easy, self-directing stretch program! This workshop focuses on a few simple techniques that improve your life RIGHT NOW and can be shared with family and friends immediately, thereby impacting their lives as well. 6 ABOUT THE CULTURE OF A COMPANY OR ORGANIZATION, AND EMPLOYEE TESTING It is my opinion that the single most important aspect of any successful or highly profitable business is the presence of an outstanding Culture. This has and will always be the central focus of all of our programs. It is only now that companies are truly embracing and appreciating its full impact upon each employee, their outlook, partnership, and the end result, which is the score card for corporate America, the profitability of the company. Although some companies do testing of employee health statistics such as BMI, BP, CHOL, etc, I urge you to consider first and foremost, the single most important factor or ingredient in an outstanding Culture, and that is of course the Mental Component of each individual or employee within that company or organization. The Mental Component is the single most motivating factor, that quickly changes the potential of any company, due to elevated employee dedication, increased determination, and a strong desire to fulfill, succeed or lead. If you are only focusing on the statistical data as the report card of your company, then you will have surely missed the most relevant component. If you could quickly and efficiently change the Moral or Culture of your company or organization, then you would surely see a bigger positive change in all statistical information. The primary reason for this direct correlation between the Mental Component and more favorable statistical results is due to the increased level of health of each individual and calm mental state, which directly affects and impacts all those things you wish to measure and evaluate. 7 A MESSAGE FROM DR. POLLACK THE WHY BEHIND THE PROGRAM Many of us have been through challenging or exciting times where we have become overwhelmed, and start to believe that life s events and circumstances have more control over us than we have over ourselves. We temporarily get lost, and forget our ability to turn things around. That is precisely why we created this series of life enhancing workshops. Through these workshops we hope to offer you some simple easy tools to help you see and address life s possibilities, urge you to take massive action, and show you your potential to control and coordinate your own destiny. If there are things in your life that you are truly dissatisfied with or wish to change, I hope that these powerful workshops will be the impetus for that change, and the catalyst to do so. Living congruently with who you are or wish to be, means that you MUST be willing to change, you MUST learn to embrace change, and you MUST make a conscious decision to take new actions once you decide to do so. Making a real decision means you are willing to cut off any other possibilities and focus only in the direction you wish to go. As one of my mentors Anthony Robbins once said, life cannot be lived looking in the rear view mirror, for you would surely crash, always focus on what you want, not what you don t want, or no longer wish to have. Always keep in mind that definition of Insanity, doing the same things over and over, yet expecting a different result. If you wish for a different result, or outcome, then you MUST take new and different actions! Remember, change doesn t happen unless you do first!
