Identification and application of angle relationships that arise from lines that are parallel or perpendicular. 3. Identification of polygons and examination of similarities and differences among triangles and quadrilaterals. 4. Recognize, use, and apply types of symmetry. 5. Determine congruence relationships between two figures. 6. Apply transformations to geometric figures. 1. Measure angles using a protractor and classify what type of angle it is. 2. Determine if two figures are congruent or similar based on given information and definition of congruence. 3. Given two parallel lines, a transversal, and an angle, determine the measurements for all other angles. 4. Classify trianlges according to sides and angles. 5. Discuss the relationship among quadrilaterals and describe what makes them different. 6. Use rotational and line symmetry. 7. Use symmetry to perform transformations of polygons. To find the area for triangles, trapezoids, rectangles, and parallelograms. 2. To find the perimeter for triangles, trapezoids, rectangles, and parallelograms. 3. To determine the effect on perimeter and area when making changes to the original dimensions. 4. Use the Pythagorean Theorem to find an unknown measure when given the other two. 5. To determine the effect on circumference and area of a circle when making changes to the radius or diameter. 8. To calculate volume and surface area for three dimensional solids. 9.
