1 Year 6 Year 6 Breakdown & Textbook Mapping Spring This document is designed to be used in conjunction with the White Rose Schemes of Learning and has been written as a guide to indicate the progression and pace in which the National Curriculum objectives should be covered. The lesson breakdown provided is our suggested route and should be used appropriately with professional judgement. The Maths Hubs are working nationally to create some Mastery Curriculum Materials; this resource should be viewed as an interim measure until these materials are ready. 3 Year 6 Spring Term Learning Objective Identify the value of each digit in numbers given to three decimal places and multiply numbers by 0, 00 and 000 giving answers up to 3 decimal places (dp). Solve problems which require answers to be rounded to specified degrees of accuracy Investigating the place value of decimals to thousandths, relating thousandths to hundredths and tenths. Multiply and divide numbers up to 3 decimal places by 0, 00 and Rounding to and decimal places. Number: Fractions Multiply one digit numbers with up to dp by whole numbers. Use written division methods in cases where the answer has up to two decimal places. 5 6 Multiply a number with up to decimal places by a whole number using partitioning.
