Promote learning and exchange through the presentation of successful strategies and lessons learned. Consider how Aichi s experience applies to the R4BLP members collectively. Determine if there is an action item to take away from the discussion and how best to address. Consider how to incorporate points made during the presentation from the CBD Secretariat.

7 Overarching Framework Adopted as a Cross-Cutting Issue at the 4 th COP Invasive Alien Species Guiding Principles for the Prevention, Introduction and Mitigation of Impacts of Alien Species that Threaten Ecosystems, Habitats or Species (adopted at COP 6) Aichi Biodiversity Targets Strategic Goal B: Reduce the direct pressures on biodiversity and promote sustainable use Target 9: By 2020, invasive alien species and pathways are identified and prioritized, priority species are controlled or eradicated and measures are in place to manage pathways to prevent their introduction and establishment UN's Sustainable Development Goals Goal 15: Sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation, halt biodiversity loss Target: By 2020, introduce measures to prevent the introduction and significantly reduce the impact of invasive alien species on land and water ecosystems and control or eradicate the priority species
