35 New physical education (PE) syllabus for P1 to P6. Will be using the PE Journal Book (An Active & Healthy Me) Health education lessons will also be integrated into PE lessons at all levels. All students will have to take part in Outdoor Education in PHE lessons e.g. orienteering. NAPFA test to be conducted at Pri 4 and 6 only.

40 GUIDELINES FOR LEARNING TIME Learning Time - both written and non-written homework Rationale - Cultivate the good habit of self study and initiative Promote thinking skills Reinforce learning Lesson preparation

41 LEARNING TIME FOR P4 Time Amt of work Normal school days (Mon to Fri) SA Revisions School holidays (Mar, Jun and Sep holidays)* Festive seasons (CNY, Hari Raya Puasa, Hari Raya Haji, Deepavali)* (Mon Fri) Maximum 2 hours per day 45 mins for Mother Tongue 1 h and 15 mins for English, Maths and Science SA1 & SA2 revision starts about 1month before exams Minimum of 1 full paper per subject / per week before the examination. But not more than 2 papers per day. *Teachers have to note that they have to go through all papers given to their pupils Mar holidays No homework Jun & Sep 1 week or 10 hours worth of homework Strictly no homework to be given *Any other school holidays or festive holidays, such as Youth Day, Vesak Day, Labour Day etc., it is up to the discretion of the teachers to decide if learning time is necessary.
