1 Returning Hawk Leader Application Information We are so glad you have decided to apply again to be a Hawk Leader for the school year. As you know, this is a responsibility that you should not take lightly, so before you complete and turn in your application, please read through the following information thoroughly to ensure you still want to apply!! This is a very serious commitment, not only on your time, but in your daily actions, attitudes and behaviors. We need positive role models to represent our Hawk Leader Program and if you cannot commit to that, you should think twice before you apply! In order to apply, you will need to fill out the 2-page application below, as well as provide a referral form from your Exec AND the teacher in whose classroom you mentored. Below are 2017 dates and events that are REQUIRED & MANDATORY to attend as a Hawk Leader; please make sure you are available to attend these events BEFORE you apply. Also, make sure to put these dates on your calendar prior to turning in your application! If you are unable to attend any of these, please DO NOT apply. Hawk Leader : Thursday, Feb 16 th 9:45-11:18 a.m. (East Gym) Be a Hawk 8 th grade Transition Day: Wednesday, Feb 22 nd Your participation in this day will be highly encouraged, but not mandatory Hawk Leader Parent Meeting: Wednesday, March 8 th 7:30 a.m. OR 6:00 pm in Drama Theater **You do NOT need to attend, only a parent does!!** Hawk Leader : Thursday, March 23 rd 9:45-11:18 a.m. (East Gym) Hawk Leader : Thurs, May 4 th 8:00 a.m. 11:18 a.m. (East Gym Orientation Day 1: Monday, August 14 th 8:00-12:30 (Main Gym) Orientation Day 2: Tuesday, August 15 th 9:30-11:30 am (Main Gym) Freshmen Orientation: Wednesday, August 16 th 7:15-11:30am (Main Gym) Freshman Mixer: Friday, August 18 th 8:00-10:00pm **If you know you will be unavailable any of these dates, please DO NOT apply** Completed Applications Due in the Counseling Office No Later than 3:15 p.m. on Friday, January 13 th, 2017.
