PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES: SLO 1 Students will be able to analyze and solve business problems across major business functions, using fundamental business principles and strategies SLO 2 Students will be able to communicate about contemporary business related topics. SLO 3 Students will be able to comprehend the impact of ethical and social responsibility in business. STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES: The successful student will be able to: 1. Highlight the pivotal link between economics and key business concerns such as costs, prices, and markets. 2. Weigh the strategic costs and benefits of each business choice. 3. Identify those factors, which will cause demand and supply to change. 4. Explore the law of diminishing marginal utility and its applications. 5. Appreciate the notion of economic costs. 6. Grasp the analysis inherent in economic profits. 7. Appreciate the relationship between consumers, producers, government, and economics. 8. Gain understanding of property rights, transaction costs, and opportunity costs. IV. INSTRUCTOR EXPECTATIONS: You are expected to approach this class in a professional manner. This means coming to class regularly, on time and prepared to participate. Your primary goal as a student is to obtain an education and acquire certain skills to enable you to be productive and competitive in your chosen field.
