1 Museums Education and Modern Sociaty European Union s Lifelong Learning Programme Comenius
2 The Goal of the Presentation To inform students, teachers, parents and local society about the participation of Rigas Nioght (shift) School N 9 in project Comenius, as well as to show an evening school from different angle.
3 The Goal of the Project To create historical and cultural consciousness in students; to acknowledge and understand international and intercultural, common and diverse in European countries. For teachers to find ways to achieve the set goals (in connection with learning process), making learning process more interesting and effective. Latvia s goals: to widen students scope and to create opportunities to visit museums, to develop interest (sometimes with help from teachers) about museums and assortment they offer. To involve student s peers in creation and organization of various activities. We carried out multilateral partnership. The countries that collaborated in project Greece, England, Germany, Italy.
4 Conditions for participation in project Comenius and to take part in the trip to London: I step (part) All students with average mark higher than 7 and; With final marks higher than 4 at the end of semester were nominated. II step (part) In total 47 students (from grade 8 to 12) were invited to first meeting. 20 students continued to work on project. III step (part) Selection for the trip to London Conditions: A PowerPoint presentation about museums, which the student chooses from given options (presentation must be in Latvian and English); The work structure is offered ; English teacher can ask one question in English to which the student must answer in English.

6 9 students were presenting their works about museums, 4 students were considered as best who also participated in the project.

8 Meeting Teachers together with the students agree what museums they are going to cooperate with. Two teams were made. One for each museum. Also summarizing first questionnaires.
