11 Parents can help with the following: ensure that: - your child is prepared for his weekly spelling - his spelling exercise book is signed at the end of each term - his yellow hardcover folder, yellow and purple plastic folder are organised and the content page is signed - the work assigned to be completed at home are done on time

12 Parents can help with the following: role-model reading daily provide opportunities for your child to read aloud discuss local issues and current affairs make frequent visits to public libraries and book stores provide varied experiences and talk about it with your child (eg; eating at hawker centres, taking public transport, visits to local places of interest)
