14 PORTFOLIO From P3 onwards, your child should use it to keep track of his/her achievements and successes and leave his/her portfolio at home. (If he/she has lost this black file, any file will do.) He/she can collect his/her awards/ badges/certificates and file them neatly. He/she can easily retrieve documents for the application to secondary school in P6 for Direct School Admission.

36 What is a T-Score? It gives the relative position of a student s performance as compared to the performance of all other students in that subject. The raw score obtained in the exam only shows how good the student is in that subject, not how good he is compared to others.

37 Where How is T-Score calculated? T = (X Y) Z X = student s mark for the subject Y = average mark (mean) scored by all students Z = spread of marks around the average mark (standard deviation)

42 Supporting Your Child/Ward 1. Moral Support - Encourage him/her and be there for him/her 2. Supervision - Make sure child/ward revises for tests - Make sure all homework is done on time and independently - Check for circulars/notes from school

43 3. Consistent and regular revision - Set daily (bite-size) revision - Set reasonable targets 4. Healthy lifestyle - Ensure child/ward takes his/her breakfast every day - Get him/her to sleep early - Allow him/her to have time for relaxation, play and exercise (Not computer games)
