Mrs. Conner will present specific, free technology tools she has used effectively in her Latin 1-3 classes. She will address learning models, using technology for formative assessments, and effective flipped learning strategies. Finally, presentation of effective strategies to become a connected educator using social media will continue the learning beyond the end of this workshop. Target Audience: 7-12 Teachers Collaborative Program Re-Design Michael Treadwell, Randolph School A-3 The Randolph Upper School is in the middle of a three year process for redesigning their advisory program. This session will describe the process and offer a research-based framework for creating your own collaborative program redesign. By using curriculum-based readers theater, students can create scripts based on any topic. Readers theater emphasizes gestures and spoken word, not staged action or theatrical training. Using the calendar as a daily motivator, participants explore a ten-minute routine used for exploring multiple models for both multiplication and division. When a fact is coupled with models, explorations of inverse operations, properties and much more, it is easily seen and understood. Before long, mastery is within reach!
