4 Game Development Our game development programs are designed to teach students creativity and teamwork in addition to fundamental design and coding skills. The program is instructed by a combination of UW Professors and industry professionals. Addressing the growing need for youth STEM training, our integrated learning programs prepare students for a future in STEM industries by learning critical skills through the game development process. Highlights Life cycle learning: Students learn how all the pieces come together in making games including animation, design, art, programming, marketing and storytelling. Exclusive behind-the-scenes tours of some of the world s leading game studios. Experienced instructors and staff who have actually created and launched commercial games. INDUSTRY CONNECTIONS Designed for beginning to advanced developers, students will have the opportunity to learn from industry professionals from both independent and mega game studios through workshops, tours and guest lectures. PROJECTS Student teams use pre-built game environments to develop their own video game from basic concept, through design and coding, to a final working game.
