10 STUDY TIPS GET A GOOD NIGHT S SLEEP Forget all-night studying, there are countless studies that point to a good night s sleep to test taking success. Sleep deprivation can last a few days, so plan ahead. Get your rest and eat a healthy diet on exam day. STUDY AT THE SAME EACH DAY Try to study during periods of optimal brain function (usually between 6-8pm.) DON T CHANGE YOUR ANSWER Trust your instincts. Sometimes second guessing yourself will lead to the wrong answer. READ ALL OF THE ANSWERS Even if you know the correct answer, read each question/ answer thoroughly. FUNNY RESPONSES ARE USUALLY WRONG The longest response is often correct. A response that repeats key words in the answer is also likely to be correct. USE SCRATCH PAPER FOR STUDY EXAMS Don t mark up your practice exam booklets and retest yourself often after each course. ELIMINATE AS MANY ANSWERS AS POSSIBLE Process of elimination can help lead you to the correct answer. REVIEW YOUR NOTES It may be helpful to convert your notes into a Word document or some other program for ease of reference. Organizing your notes can make it easier to focus on certain subject areas requiring further attention. NEED MORE TIPS AND EXAM PREP DETAILS? TAKE OUR EXAM PREP COURSES.
