2 About University Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University was established in Lucknow in 1996 as Central University with the objects of promoting advance knowledge by instructional and research facilities in science, key and frontier areas of technology and other allied disciplines. This University is the Post-Graduate and Research promoting University. The main objective of this University is to promote professional studies, inter-disciplinary studies and research & development activities. With above objectives, the University has started its academic programmes which have employment potential and relevant for the development of Indian society. At present, University has eight functional Schools compromising of more than forty functional Departments. About Department of Information Technology Department of Information Technology (DIT) is one of the active Departments in the School for Information Science and Technology. The Department has established in 2007 with the aim of promoting the modern area of Information Technology to highest level of Excellence and to conduct and encourage rese arch in all area of Information Technology and Computer Science. Applications and developed knowledge and skills to the student through teaching, training and research in the field of Information Technology. About the Course Although statistical methods have a long history of contributing to improved practices in manufacturing and in traditional areas of science, technology, they have up to now a huge impact on software development processes. This course attempts to bridge the islands of knowledge and experience between statistics and research by enunciating through new waves of research methodology. It is hoped that the course will help seed the field of research methodology by indicating opportunities for statistical thinking. Objectives of the Course To Point out the relevance of rigorous statistical and probabilistic techniques to pressing software engineering concern. To motivate new researchers from computer field to tackle problem with relevance for software development, as well as to suggest a statistical approach to software engineering. Adopting exploratory data analysis and visualization techniques Educating the software engineering community regarding statistical approaches and data issues. Developing methods of analysis to cope with qualitative variables. Registration Details Registration fee for the workshop is 5000 INR for all participants. Payment Details: Demand Draft should be made in favour of Co-ordinator-RMC, BBAU Payable at Lucknow. Participants are advised to fill the registration form, available in University website and send the registration form along with Demand Draft on or before 3rd January 2017.
