In English, however, when we want to express numbers that are bigger than one thousand, we use 1000 as the basic counting unit. In order to know the number, just remember that three zeros mean thousand and the number before it is the number of thousands. Ex , fifty thousand. Remember. These large numbers are expressed as one unit, so we do not add an s to them. Fifty thousand, not fifty thousands. 백만 ( ) is expressed as one million. 천만 ( ) is expressed as 10 million 1 억 is expressed as 100 million and 10 억 is 1 billion.
