Academic Details 2.1 Overview f the Subject This elective subject builds n TSL700 Language Teaching Methdlgies t explre the imprtance f culture in language teaching and learning and encurages students t develp their skills in intercultural literacy and cmmunicatin. The subject als explres the causes and effects f the glbal spread f English and the implicatins f English being bth a glbal and a lcal language in many parts f the wrld. 2.2 Graduate Attributes fr Pstgraduate Curses Graduates f the Graduate Certificate f TESOL, the Graduate Diplma f TESOL and the Master f Arts (TESOL) curses frm King s Own Institute will be gain the graduate attributes expected frm successful cmpletin f a Master s degree under the Australian Qualificatins Framewrk (2 nd editin, January 2013). It is intended that specific tutrial material such as case studies, recmmended readings, review questins etc. will be made available each week in Mdle.
