1 PRESS RELEASE KETCHIKAN POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE DATE: 5/18/12 On 4/30/12 at about 2236 hours officers arrested SHARON SAMSON, 20 years of age, of Ketchikan, at the Police department for an outstanding warrant. She was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where she was held on $ bail. On 5/01/12 at about 0054 hours officers responded to the Asylum Bar due to a report of KAMI D. RILEY, 37 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, was inside causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. She was found to show signs of being highly intoxicated and was warned to not enter any more bars for the night. Officers saw her go back inside the Asylum where she was arrested for Drunk Persons on a Licensed Premise. She was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where she was set to be released on her own recognizance. On 5/1/12 about 0630 hours officers were requested at the Super Eight due to JOHN E. SIVERTSEN, 42 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, not willing to leave a room. Officers contacted Mr. Sivertsen who was trespassed from the building. A short time later, officers were called back due to Mr. Sivertsen being back inside and refusing to leave. Officers re-contacted him and arrested him for Criminal Trespass. He was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was set to be released on his own recognizance. On 5/01/12 at about 1725 hours officers were dispatched to the Schoenbar Apartments on a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arriving officers contacted a male who stated he had been assaulted by his girlfriend. Upon investigation officers arrested ELSIE ISAACS, 25 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, for Assault in the Fourth Degree - Domestic Violence. She was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where she was held without bail. On 5/01/12 at about 2206 hours officers stopped a 1988 red and white Ford truck on Front Street for traffic violations. Upon contacting the driver, DENNIS A. MANN, 65 years of age of Ketchikan Alaska, he was found to show signs of intoxication. He was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. He was further charged with Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test. He was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was set to be released on his own recognizance. On 5/02/12 at about 0434 hours officers stopped a 1991 black Honda for traffic violations on Park Avenue. Officers contacted the driver, THOMAS SHULL, 18 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, who showed signs of intoxication. Upon investigation he was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. He was further charged with Violation of Conditions of Release. He was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was held on $ bail.

2 On 5/02/12 at about 0854 hours officers arrested DOUGLAS VITCOVICH, 49 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, on an outstanding warrant. He was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was held on $ bail. On 5/02/12 at about 1114 hours, officers were dispatched to the Library on a report of a male passed out on the ground. Upon arriving Officers contacted GARY HAMILTON, 65 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, who was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested for Violation of Conditions of Release. He was transported to the Ketchikan On 5/02/12 at about 2327 hours officers were dispatched to a Thomas Street address on a report of a female refusing to leave. Upon arriving officers contacted KAMI D. RILEY, 37 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, who showed signs of intoxication. She was arrested for Violation of Conditions of Release. She was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where she was held on $ bail. On 5/03/12 at about 1206 hours officers arrested SHAWN MOREY, 20 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, for an outstanding warrant. He was transported to the Ketchikan On 5/03/12 at about 2111 hours officers issued CHRISTIAN HOPCHAS, 32 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, a misdemeanor citation for Driving While License is Suspended. On 5/06/12 at about 1943 hours officers were dispatched to Park Avenue on a report of a domestic dispute. Upon investigation officers arrested MEDICINE WIND GOOMDA CHANEY, 31 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, for Assault in the Fourth Degree, Domestic Violence. He was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was held without bail. On 5/07/12 at about 0027 hours officers issued GABRIEL I. FALZARANO, 31 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, a misdemeanor citation for Improper Use of Evidence of Vehicle Registration. On 5/07/12 at about 1506 hours officers were dispatched to the area of Madison and Tongass on a report of a male in the area with his pants pulled down. Upon arriving officers found MARK HILL, 51 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, inside McDonalds with his pants down with his genitalia exposed. He was arrested for Indecent Exposure in the Second Degree and transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was set to be released on his own recognizance. On 5/08/12 at about 1036 hours officers were dispatched to the Library on a report of a male exposing himself to patrons. Upon arriving officers saw MARK HILL, 51 years of age of Ketchikan Alaska standing in the entrance to the Library with his pants down exposing his buttocks and genitalia. He was arrested for Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree and transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was set to be released on his own recognizance.

3 On 5/09/12 at about 0845 hours officers saw a group of males drinking alcohol in the area of Thomas Basin. Officers arrested MARK HILL, 51 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, for Disorderly Conduct and Violation of Conditions of Release; JAMES HOWE, 40 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, for Disorderly Conduct and Violation of Conditions of Release; and, RONALD FULGENCIO, 62 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, for Disorderly Conduct. Mr. Howe and Mr. Hill were both held on $ bail at the Ketchikan Correctional Center, and Mr. Fulgencio was set to be released on his own recognizance. On 5/09/12 at about 0950 hours officers arrested JAMES FABER, 53 years of age, of On 5/10/12 at about 1107 hours, officers arrested JAMES SEYMOUR, 36 years of age, of Petersburg Alaska, on outstanding warrants. He was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was held on a total of $ bail. On 5/11/12 at about 0959 hours officers arrested JOSHUA WELTY, 30 years of age, of Correctional Center where he was held without bail. On 5/11/12 at about 1811 hours officers arrested ANDREW MORRIS, 43 years of age, on an outstanding warrant. He was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was held without bail. On 5/12/12 at about 0946 hours officers were dispatched to Seaview Terrace on a report of a disturbance. Upon investigation officers arrested NIKKI L. MOHINANI, 52 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, for Criminal Trespass. She was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where she was set to be released on her own recognizance. On 5/12/12 at about 1141 hours officers were dispatched to the area of Tongass and Carlanna on a report of a possible intoxicated driver. Officers located the vehicle in the 2400 block of Tongass. Upon investigation offices arrested JOHN FAIN, 53 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, for Driving Under the Influence. He was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was held on $ bail. On 5/14/12 at about 2133 hours officers were dispatched to Inman Street on a report of a domestic dispute with a knife being involved. Upon investigation officers arrested SHEILIA EDGARS, 20 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, for Assault in the Third Degree, Domestic Violence. She was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where she was held without bail. On 5/15/12 at about 1124 hours officers arrested TIMOTHY M. VOLPI Jr, 30 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, on an outstanding warrant. He was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was held on $ bail. On 5/16/12 at about 1001 hours officers arrested SPENCER BARR, 19 years of age, of Correctional Center where he was held on $ bail.

4 On 5/16/12 at about 1207 hours officers arrested CANDRA DEGUZMAN, 25 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, on an outstanding warrant. She was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where she was held on $ bail. On 5/16/12 at about 1210 hours officers arrested DARREN BAINES, 21 years of age, of Correctional Center where he was held on $ bail. On 5/17/12 at about 1242 hours officers arrested MARK DARDEN, 41 years of age, of Correctional Center where he was held on $ bail. On 5/17/12 at about 1939 hours officers were dispatched to Timberline Court on a report of a male violating a protective order. Upon investigation officers arrested BRUCE REEVES, 45 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, for Violating a Protective Order. He was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was held on $ bail. On 5/17/12 at about 2029 hours officers were dispatched to First Avenue on a report of a domestic assault. Upon investigation officers concluded there had been an assault, but the subject had left prior to their arriving. A warrant was obtained for DAVID HILL, 52 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska. He was subsequently arrested on the warrant on 5/18/12 for Assault in the Fourth Degree, Domestic Violence. He was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was held without bail. On 5/18/12 at about 2302 hours officers conducted a traffic stop on a black 2004 Mercury, in the 1200 block of Tongass for a traffic violation. Upon investigation officers arrested JOSEPH BUENDIA, 21 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence. He was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where he was set to be released on his own recognizance. On 5/20/12 at about 0538 hours officers arrested DENISE TEVELDE, 45 years of age, of Ketchikan Alaska, on an outstanding warrant. She was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center where she was held on $ bail.
