1 What SASEAS Parents are Saying About Their Students Overall Experience We are in our 11 th year at SASEAS and with older children now in high school, we know SASEAS is the reason for their academic, spiritual, and social success. One hopes you've made the right decision in your choice of elementary school. But, we now KNOW we made the right decision when we witness their successes as young adults. Sending our kids to SASEAS has been one of the best decisions we have made. From the teachers to the school community and athletics, our school has exceeded all expectations. Both of our kids love everything about school and have grown so much since they have been here - we are Titans for life! My son loves going to SASEAS! The teachers and staff have created a wonderful environment for students to learn, grow and become young adults. My 8th grader has attended SASEAS since kindergarten. When discussing high school options, she has always been very adamant about continuing her Catholic education by attending a Catholic high school. Her years at SASEAS have been rewarding to her academically, spiritually, and socially, helping her to become the beautiful young person that she is today. We hope to continue that same growth during her four years at MND. We are so proud of her - thank you SASEAS! My son loves his friends and teachers. We love that the values we teach at home are reinforced at school. We have been with SASEAS from first grade. It has truly been like going to school with family. Compassionate care of one another is evident in how the students and teachers treat one another. My daughter looks forward to school each day. My children love their SASEAS family and feel very safe and comfortable there.

2 What SASEAS Parents are Saying About Their Students Faith Development We love watching our two daughters grow spiritually as a result of their attendance at SASEAS. When they come home sharing a new prayer they learned at school, or talking about a Saint they just learned about, it is so rewarding! We are growing spiritually as well - we learn through them and with them. As we deal with the daily hustle and bustle of work and school, it is a constant reminder of why we are really here, and where our focus should be. My children amaze me with their knowledge of our Catholic faith and have even taught me! Their openness to pray and offer prayer intentions for others without direction is very powerful! Being reminded every day that God loves you and has a plan for your life - priceless! Our boys are turning into fine young men. SASEAS helped them learn about their Catholic faith and how to live it. Does it get any better than to hear your children woke up on Easter and Christmas mornings and prayed the rosary together before waking us, their parents, to open presents? Spiritual development is interwoven throughout their day. It is my hope that they will become confident well rounded adults, secure in the knowledge that faith and prayer is not something you have to shove aside so you can get your job done, it should be a part of you, as natural and at times as necessary as breathing! I couldn't be any happier with the loving and caring feeling I get for my child. Without the school to reinforce spirituality and God s love for all His children, I don't think we would have received this anywhere other than at SASEAS. My daughter talks openly about God's love. It's okay to say "Merry Christmas" and "Happy Easter!" Learning about God is giving my child additional coping skills that allow her to face the challenges of each day knowing God is with her. My son has had spiritual growth from the attention the school pays to really allowing the students to reflect and embrace God and His teachings.

3 What SASEAS Parents are Saying About Their Students Teachers I have experienced nothing less than the best in the SASEAS teachers that we have had. They have worked hard and recognized my child's strengths and weaknesses going above and beyond to allow him to excel and grow into the best student that he can be. Keeping communication open and flowing at all times and even adjusting assignments for him specifically to challenge him and allow him to grow and continue to learn. They have never just given him work to keep him busy, but they provide him with real assignments and work that keeps him engaged and motivated. SASEAS has an amazing team of experienced, faith-filled teachers willing to do whatever it takes to help each child reach his or her full potential. Religion, Math, Science, English, Social Studies -- we have the most genuine, caring teachers. They push our children to be their best because they see the best in our children. They are selfless and loving. Our children are thriving. My children's teachers really care about each of my children. The teachers see my children's unique gifts and weaknesses and their relationship with them reflects that. All the teachers at SASEAS have made me smile. Smiling in life is important. Not only is it important to the spirit of our children, but it's important to show that God is love and life is beautiful. The teachers demonstrate the love of the Holy Trinity and Mary's role as our Heavenly Mother in their roles as Catholic school educators. As a parent, I worry most about my child being safe and content. When she walks through the school doors, I feel like they embrace her with love, security and acceptance. My son's teacher really promoted amazing spiritual growth! The teachers care for and really love the students. My children's teachers are loving, compassionate and exemplify how to be a true follower of Christ.

4 What SASEAS Parents are Saying About Their Students Academic Experience Our two children in high school are top performers, each with 4.0+ GPAs at top high schools. They were challenged at SASEAS, and they easily adjusted to high school. Their current teachers praise their work ethic, attention to detail, inquisitive nature, and grasp of concepts. SASEAS, the wonderful teachers - they are the reason we are blessed! We've been thrilled with how prepared our older children have been for Catholic high school. It's amazing to see how many classmates are listed on the honor rolls, a testament to the curriculum and instruction at SASEAS. Students are well prepared for high school. Most SASEAS students are placed in the honors classes when heading off to high school. The goal isn't just to succeed, it is to flourish! OK is not good enough. The students are challenged to do their very best - often doing much better than they imagined. The school s curriculum is tough and pushes the students to achieve excellence. In the two years that we have spent at Seton, I am amazed by their commitment to teach a curriculum that works and isn't mandated. A private education gives our school leaders the flexibility to make the choices that at their core are best for all of the children in our school. I am impressed at the creativity and diversity in the different projects assigned to my children. I am impressed that starting in the early grades spelling and math facts are designed for each child's individual level.

5 What SASEAS Parents are Saying About the School s Community When it was time to make the choice about kindergarten, my husband and I were not 100% decided on private versus public school. Everyone we spoke to loved the school their child attended, but the marked difference was that the SASEAS families felt they were a part of a community of people in some ways, a family. They had found friendships they didn't have before their kids started school. We are the only family in our neighborhood who attends private school, and what I've found is that we are also the only family who has found a new "family" that watches out for our kids as much as we do. Our fellow school families are just as invested the future of their children as we are ours. We have made friendships that we hope will last long after our kids graduate from 8 th grade. We have been a part of the SASEAS family for 10 years. It has been a wonderful experience for the boys and for Mom and Dad. The SEASEAS families have been a blessing to our family. This is truly an inclusive, giving, genuine community of people who work well together to make our school a success. We wouldn't want to send our children anywhere else! SASEAS is fully aligned on all fronts - the parishes, the Priests, our new Principal, the best faculty and staff. This is our best year yet! While our buildings may not be new and shiny, there is a lot of love within our walls! We are a family here! It is a family that watches over one another. This truly is a family that cares deeply about one another from teachers to students to support staff. Our school is not just a school, but it is a collection of many parents, adults, teachers and staff working together to develop our children. It takes a village to develop one child! Sending our children to a faith-filled school environment like SASEAS has always been a priority for us. Knowing that our kids are safe, knowing that they are loved, knowing that they are surrounded with teachers, staff and other students that care and that share our same values and beliefs - these things are priceless.

6 What SASEAS Parents are Saying About the School s Extracurricular Activities Great extracurricular activities! With after-school opportunities in music, sports, competitive writing and more, there is something for everyone to try. The day our son said he wanted to join the football team my husband and I said, "Sounds great," but on the inside, we were terrified. In the end, we had nothing to worry about. What we found was a football program like none we had ever heard our friends talk about; a program dedicated to not just training players, but growing them into good sportsmen, teaching them respect for others, dedication and sacrifice...what it means to be a team and a band of brothers. The coaches took an interest in them as individuals and students, not just football players. With our third child now passing through SASEAS and our older two in high school, it is quite evident the experiences our children shared through Science Fair, Power of the Pen, and Math Counts propelled them academically. The commitment and dedication our teachers provide is above and beyond. Our children learned life skills and gained confidence through these extracurricular activities. SASEAS prepares our children for success in high school and beyond! My child has accelerated and grown beyond our belief of what we believed he would do. I could not be any prouder and happier with the outcome of my child's attendance at the school. My child would rather go to the extended day program than have me pick her up early! Cub Scouts and football have been great character building programs for our son.
