Use our supplies or bring your own. Even 15 minutes helps. This lovely garden area is maintained solely by Grass Valley volunteers. Without our attention, it ll cease to exist. 2 Seuss Madness to Make a Comeback in March May We Borrow Your Dr. Seuss Books? You ve heard of March Madness. Now, just in time for Read Across America, we re bringing you Seuss Madness, where classes read two Dr. Seuss books and students vote for their favorite. Books will compete against one another as if they were in a basketball tournament. As titles are knocked out of the contest, the winners advance until one reigns victorious in the school. To make Seuss Madness a success, we d love to borrow your Dr. Seuss book copies. Label them with your name and send them in today. We will return them after the event. Student Artwork on Display at New Seasons We have some amazing artists in the making, and their artwork is gracing the walls of New Seasons Market in Fishers Landing! Now until March 7, you can stop by and see the masterpieces of several Grass Valley students. Our sincerest apologies, but due to space constraints, the store could only fit the work of approximately eight classes. Students whose artwork is being shown will be notified with an invite to an artists reception on Feb. 24, 5:30 6:30 p.m. GVE Silent Auction Planning Is Underway Thank you, SHANNON DAMMER-SMITH, for stepping up to chair this important event! WE NEED YOUR HELP Our current PTA board has put more than 17 combined school years into Grass Valley PTA since it opened in 2009, just five years ago. Many of us have maxed out our terms. WE NEED NEW OFFICERS to keep our school running into 2016 and beyond. Please consider getting involved! Elections & appointments will be held in April. CAMAS COMMUNITY EDUCATION: SAFE ON MY OWN for Ages 8 11 Children who spend time home alone either before or after school or during the weekend are a fast growing population. Safe on My Own is an informational and interactive class that will give your children the skills they need to feel more confident about taking care of themselves.
