1 2017 National Latin Exam Results Parents: consider using this text in part or in whole as press release for your local paper. Over 149,000 students from all 50 states and 16 foreign countries participated in the 2017 National Latin Exam. This year 177 Lukeion students took the National Latin Exam. Out of that number, 165 students earned honors on the Latin I, II, III, IV, V, and VI exams this year: 94% of our students earned honors in % of those who earned an honor earned a GOLD medal 23% of those who earned an honor earned a SILVER medal 11 students earned a perfect paper award (perfect score) Save this document: It is your official record of your numeric score on this exam. All who earn honors will receive certificates as well. Your medal and/or certificate will be mailed to you along with any letters from the NLE if you qualify for a scholarship application or other certificate. NOTE: If you took this exam and your name does not appear on the honors list below, you placed at or below the national average and did not earn an honor. Please contact Mrs. Barr (amy@lukeion.org) privately for your actual numeric results. Always include your participation on this exam on your high school transcripts, regardless of your score. Awards for the 2017 exams according to level There were 40 questions on each exam. Awards are based on point values above the national median score for each level (half of the 149,000+ students who participated in the exam earned at or fewer than that national average point value while the other half earned above that point value). Everyone who scored above the national average earns a merit award of some kind. If you scored the national average and won no honor, you still did better than half the people who took the exam this year National Latin Exam Results, The Lukeion Project,
