6 Workshop Descriptions Fairmont District 4 Meeting Oct Friday 10/3/14 3:00-5:00 pm President- President Elect Workshop: Finding the Power Within to Rise Higher Presented by NWR governor, Carol Hansen & NWR Governor Elect & Professional Development Coordinator, Stephanie Smith. Sometimes we wonder if we are doing enough or we may wonder if we could possibly do one thing more. The key to answering these questions is where we are looking for the answers. Are we looking up and imagining the great possibilities that await us or are we looking downward, feeling the weight of duties upon us? This specially designed workshop will help club leaders look up and rise to the great potential within them personally, professionally, and as a Soroptimist. We will discuss how consistent daily acts can produce extraordinary results. Come and share what sustains you as a leader, what inspires you, what helps you laugh and share your love with others, and what talents and gifts you possess to lift others higher. Come ready to participate in this interactive workshop designed for club presidents and presidents elect. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, connect with one another, and to share your best practices so that all can benefit. We ll also mix in activities to make it fun and well worth your time. Saturday 10/4/14 General Session Workshop: Reaching Higher Through Change Presented by: Stephanie Smith/NWR Governor Elect and Professional Development Coordinator. What would make you a happier and healthy person, or Soroptimist or employee or employer or all of the above? Tough question and you probably have an idea or two, but just haven t found the right motivation to make the necessary changes to turn your idea(s) into reality. Sometimes the very idea of change can create great anxiety, anger, denial, grief and every other emotion you can think of. But what if change could be fun? What if change could be done as a team? What if change allowed you and your club to reach higher and achieve more than you thought possible? You will be able to reach higher and achieve whatever your goal is by transforming your what if s into reality, during this fun, interactive and educational session. 1:30-2:30 pm Workshops : Session 1 Learn to Spread Your Wings and Soar Around the SIA & NWR Websites Presented by: NWR Governor, Carol Hansen - Learn where to locate the forms that are needed throughout the year. Please plan to bring your lap-tops, tablets or smart phones.

7 1:30-2:30 pm "What Makes People Fly Away From Your Club Presented by: Chris Kelly, District 4 Membership Representative/Meeting Chair.
