Leaders and Members: Forms: Spring General Leaders When: May 7, 2014 Time: 6:30-8:30pm Where: Dunn County What: Come get ready for the busy summer months! We will be signing up for fair duties and discussing other important things for your clubs to know for the next few months. Mandatory Horse and Horseless Horse Safety When: Thursday, May 1 Time: 6:30pm Where: What:This meeting is mandatory for anyone planning on showing at the fair. If they absolutely cannot attend, you must contact Paula Powers by Wednesday, April 30 to make other Arrangements at or Attention Softball Playing Clubs!!! Final Rosters are due by May 9th to Cindy. Please send them to or to the Extension Office. We are accepting applications for the Volunteer of the Year, Partner in 4-H, Alumni Award, and Schutts Memorial. If you have someone you would like to nominate, please contact your general leader to get the forms. Nominations are due May 15.

If committees aren t formed, we may not be able to have or fund these activities! If you or someone from your club is interested in joining any of the committees, let Jason or Cindy know. Please specify if you re interested in being a committee chair with your RSVP. Let a member of the Leaders Council or Jason or Cindy know if you have any questions! Also, don't forget to submit your campership application (aka scholarship) with your camper application. The United Way has been a great supporter of 4-H, and this is a great opportunity to talk about 4-H with the community!

3 Cloverbud and Explorer Day Camp When: Friday, June 27 Time: 11:00am-4:00pm Where: Wakanda Park Pavilion It s time to get signed up for 4-H Cloverbud and Explorer Day Camp! Get ready to play awesome games, sing silly songs, and make fanciful crafts! Additional information/details will be sent out once your registration is sent in! Please make sure your health forms are updated in 4honline.com. If you have any questions, contact Jason Hausler or Cindy Bourget. May 14: MAQA, 7-8:30, (RSVP by May 12) June 10: MAQA, 7-8:30, (RSVP by June 6) Meat Animal Project Educational Opportunities April 12: Sheep Diseases, Prevention, and Best Health Practices Time: 11:15-12:15 Place: What: Come learn about how to keep your sheep healthy, happy, and growing! RSVP to Cindy by April 10 April 26: State Fair Informational Time: Begins at 9:00am Place: What: Come and learn about what it takes to have a successful state fair experience with your hogs or sheep. (You can still come if you re interested in showing beef, with the knowledge that you ll have to wait until next year to enter!) RSVP to Cindy by April 24 May 14: Swine Nutrition Time: 5:30-6:30 (Right before the MAQA Training) Place: What: Feeding should be based on your pigs needs not wants. We have the ability to control their intake. Come learn how to keep your pigs healthy and growing! (The information will have a swine focus, but can be applied to any animal. Any project member can attend!) RSVP to Cindy by May 12 June 26: Area Animal Science Days Learn about judging dairy cattle, meat animals, and horses!
