Of course, my always No. 1 favorite topic is the determiatio by the scholarship committee of the LFA scholarship wier. Gosh, without goig back ad lookig at all the previous awards, I daresay we have give the wier a hadsome prize ow for 11 years, with aother wier to be chose this year after all of our college-boud offsprig have writte about their favorite Liell family member. So your "work" is to make sure that your daughter/graddaughter or so/gradso kows about this edeavor ad ecouragig them to be amed alogside may other LFA scholarship wiers. Our ext piece of work will be to assure ourselves through our doatios that the scholarship ad gravestoe fuds are fuded i such a way that we ca cotiue our work toward the ehacemet of our family's rich heritage, both past ad future. A small cotributio to both of these fuds will assure us of that cotiuig work. Aother piece of work is to ask each of our cousis to make sure they have paid their dues for the year As always we push everyoe to cosider the lifetime member approach as it is much easier ad less costly. We also must cotiue our work to cut ewsletter mailig costs by ecouragig as may people as possible to read the ewsletter olie. Aother "work" is to try to get as may people o Facebook as possible to write about our families ad also upcomig evets. WELLA To the fial piece of work, ad it is i my opiio the biggest effort put forth by the LFA; every 3 years we meet to ejoy more of our woderful family history, celebratig the arrival of Robert Liell at Scituate, MA. Ad this year it just so happes that we are goig back to Massachusetts to agai delve ito your family history, predomiatly that of the may seafarig families i the years followig 1638 ad Robert's arrival. Of course most of us remember the Eagle Wig ad the may stories of Capt Ebeezer (Ebe) Liell, but there were may other Liell waterme families i that time period ad I am sure Doug Roberts ad Adrew Liell will have much to tell us about that aspect of life o the Cape. Whe Doug ad Jamie Liell ad I wet to the Cape last year for our plaig efforts we had the pleasure of goig to the Captai Liell Restaurat, which i itself is worth the time ad expese required i order to see such woderful grouds ad the historical artifacts iside this rather large ad beautiful facility. Durig our excursio we also happeed upo a ew cemetery -- to us ayway -- with the Liell ame iscribed o some of the stoes there. I could go o ad o about this fatastic area of our coutry ad its may itriguig aspects but I am will stop here ad just, with as much vigor as I ca possibly muster, urge you to atted aother of the LFA reuios, a traditio ow datig back over 25 years.
