1 Teen Summer Reading Programs Carver School Road Branch Discover 3D Printing Call for dates and times Interested in 3D printing? Once a month we will showcase the library s new 3D printer. Demonstrations are given through our 3D printing introduction class. Second Wednesday of Each Month 4-5 pm Teen Tech Lab Does your teen need help with a computer issue? Want help applying for a summer job online? The Teen Tech Lab is ready to help. Clemmons Branch Wednesday, June 21st at 2 pm Museum of Anthropology at Wake Forest A wide variety of materials are used to build houses, structures and buildings. Teens will learn about structures and materials from around the world, and then build their own fantastic structure. This program is for rising 6th through 12th graders. Registration is required, call Thursday, July 13th at 2 pm Movie Party Join us for a film viewing of a new favorite movie from the wizarding world. Wizarding snacks provided. Program is for rising 6th through 12th graders. Registration is recommended, call Tuesday, July 25th at 3 pm Yoga for Teens with Lisa Kushner Discover and practice yoga and meditation as an effective form of relaxation, recreation and stress relief. Ages 12 to 18. Call to register. Lewisville Branch Raspberry Pi Computer Coding Workshop Series Monday, June 26th-Friday, June 30th at 2-4 pm. Develop your coding skills in this program series by the Wake Forest Computer Science Department. For rising 9th through 12th graders. Registration required, call Participants must attend each of the five day workshops as lessons are progressive. Thursday, July 13th at 3:30 pm--makey MaKey Workshop Bring forth your inner inventor in this program by the Wake Forest Computer Science Department. For rising 6th through 8th graders. We will play games, eat pizza, draw, and have an online chat with a popular author of young adult books. Registration and parental permission slip required to participate. Teens will learn about and look at unique structures and materials from around the world. Using a variety of materials, teens can build their own structures. Beginners and all levels welcome, as are adults who wish to participate alongside their teens or tweens. Registration is helpful but not required. Call to reserve space. With the Museum of Anthropology Using a variety of materials, teens will create small imaginative structures after learning about the types of places in which people live, worldwide. Join the club that was created especially for young adult readers age Books are available for checkout three weeks before the next meeting. Wednesdays, June 28th & July 26th at 3 pm--get Hooked Teen Knit & Crochet Club Learn the basics of knitting and crocheting or bring a project you re working on. Limited supply of tools for beginners. Beginners and advanced stitchers are welcome. Friday, June 23rd at 1 pm Photography Workshop for Teens Have you ever wanted to learn more about photography? Want to try your hand at a real photo shoot, or experiment with developing photographs in a darkroom? Teens age13-17 are invited to do just that at the Walkertown Library. 5 Teens age are invited to a special yoga session just for young adults. Please bring a mat if you have one and come enjoy the health benefits of yoga as taught by certified instructor Lisa Kushner. Wednesday, July 19th at 1 pm Pointillism Class with Dot Duggins Children and young adults are invited to learn to paint in this classic style that uses small dots of color to create a beautiful image. Join local artist, Dot Duggins and take your creation home after the class!
