Maestri Place New Orleans, Louisiana Dear Mr. Cayce: Pursuant to the Court s Memorandum attached to the March 13, 2015 order, see Doc , granting the stay requested by Defendant-Appellant Secretary of State Schedler, Plaintiffs-Appellees Mr. Luther Scott, Jr. and the Louisiana State Conference of the NAACP submit this status report in the above-noted appeal. The District Court referred the matter of an attorneys fees reduction, in light of the merits panel s November 5, 2014 order and remand (see Case No , Docs , ), to Magistrate Judge Wilkinson. The parties have submitted fees-related briefing to Judge Wilkinson. On September 21, Appellant Schedler filed his brief in the separate appeal of the District Court s Amended Permanent Injunction against the Secretary of State (see Case No , Doc ). Appellees brief is due on October 21. The Secretary has also indicated, in a District Court filing, his intent to file a motion to stay the Amended Permanent Injunction.
