1 12 October 2017 I always love the start of the final term. Oom Stoffel uses the two week break to work wonders in the gardens and we return to beautiful green and manicured lawns, and spotless facilities. 2 This term we will be doing our How Good is Our School survey, and we are requesting that parents take just 5 or 10 minutes to complete this online instrument (last time only 30% of parents managed to submit their return, which compromises the results). The link to follow is: The final term is an exam term, so parents, please help your kids to work diligently and consistently for best results. Early preparation, organized study timetables, lots of repetition, and study notes (flow diagrams, spider diagrams or numbered summaries) go a long way to alleviating stress and ensuring great marks. Before we know it, it will be Christmas and the end of the year, a season to remember God s promise to be with his people always, through the valleys and mountaintops. 5 EQUESTRIAN NATIONALS The following Equestrian Riders represented Gauteng at the Nationals during the holiday. Congratulations on these awesome results: Tasmin Smith: Represented Gauteng A Team Dressage Preliminary Test 3 1st place out of 56 Dressage Preliminary Test 4 6th out of 55 Performance Riding level 7 10th out of 25 Ché-Vonne Maré Represented Gauteng B Team 2nd in 1.10m Competition in 2 phases out of 21 Chandré Delpêche Represented Gauteng B Team Participated in Dressage Preliminary Test 4. 6 SACSSA NATIONAL ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS Our Intermediate Phase Athletes continued training during the school holidays and competed on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 September 2017 at the SACSSA National Athletics Championships in Sasolburg. They did us proud by bringing home 8 Gold medals, 3 Silver Medals and 2 Bronze medals!
